When it goes on sale. I rented 18 and never followed up to purchase that version even though im a yankees fan.

I started recently from when online franchise was removed to rent first and then maybe buy it when it goes on sale. The servers with this series when it first comes out are always buggy and there is always a wait for patches to fix game freezes.

I figure why not wait for patches to be installed and by then the game is usually on sale.

Same. If I buy it, then it won't be until then. But at this point, since the only thing I care about is single player franchise mode, it doesn't look like they've done much of anything to warrant it.

Preordered cause I love RTTS as a Closer or a SP.

Only have so many days at home before heading back over seas away from everything for 30 to 40 days so got no time to waste

I just havent seen ANY graphical improvements or any new stadium improvements to warrant a purchase of 19.

I rather play a updated roster of mlb the show 18 as that is more detailed than ANY first time roster off of 19.

I preordered. I sat out MLB 18 initially as none of the improvements impressed me. I picked it up at a steep discount the beginning of this month so I could make an informed opinion of MLB 19. Turns out, I haven't been able to put MLB 18 down and I think it's the best in the series. My only real complaints are that bunting is useless and the RTTS archetypes are a little too restrictive -- both issues seem to be addressed in MLB 19. I'm not a franchise mode player, although I empathize with those who are and are frustrated with the lack of updates. The mode is just not engaging enough for me. Also, the player models need updating, the textures could be improved and performance could be better -- but realistically these things aren't going to happen this gen (and may not be a drastic overhaul for next gen, either). I understand why people are on the fence or are willing to sit out. Last year's game ended up being good enough for me to justify playing MLB 19 on day one.

February: I'll eventually get 19, but I'm waiting on a sale.

I can usually find a disc only copy on E-bay for $40 no later than 2 weeks after the game is released. I'll prob buy it then after reading everything ppl say and getting that itch to play it.
