Official MLB 19 : Road to the Show Thread

It's that time of year again for baseball and for one of my favorite modes RTTS. So here is the newest RTTS thread for the 2019 version of the show. I will have three teams to transfer over this year my Cardinals from 2016 , Angels from 2017 and the last is Astros from 2018. They all start a fresh new season of 2019. I haven't decided on a positions for my new teams but they might be a little different this year. I am thinking a pitcher and maybe catcher not sure. I am excited for the new RTTS features and presentations and maybe a mini workout or two. Anyway below is my new lineup for my 2016 Cardinals for 2019 season and we have a few new good players which I was excited to see ( Manny Machado) for one. Enjoy RTTS

One thing I forgot to mention is the best feature this year besides all the new upgrades for RTTS IMO is they returned the choice to me on what team I can play for. No longer as a low draft choice will I have to suffer on a team I don't want to play on. I want to have the choice vs a random cpu decision on my performance on the skills and game part of the selection of my draft position. Thank you to SDS for returning this feature to the players.

I have three careers that I'll carry over from 18, though really focusing on two of them:

- a 2B/OF that I'm in like my 5th or 6th season with and have had a pretty up and down career so far

- a CP that's still in the minors

Beyond that, I think I'm going to create one other guy to be a power hitter since I've never done that before; not sure what position I'll make him yet.

You can when you are on the major league roster/team games but not in AA or AAA games

Ill be creating a new career from scratch. A first baseman who can play some corner OF, mainly focusing on contact hitting, vision, and defense.

Not because the two biggest improvements this year were contact hitting and defense, but because thats how I actually was in baseball.

I’m planning on a contact with decent power SS or 2B. The past 2 years I’ve done RH 3B and SH CF and broke all the homerun records with each.

This year I am going to make it more challenging hopefully the pitch speeds will do just that. On legend last year with my Switch hitting CF I was hitting .370 with 25 hr at the all star break in my 4th year. Not as fun as I’d think.

Hoping for more realistic and more of a challenge

I will bring my Closer across he is with the Red Sox, and probly start a new one to see how it plays out, very happy I will be able to pick my Cubs this time around.

I have enjoyed it, only bit I didn't like was the compulsory swap where I was a starter and ran out of gas and got belted around until he put me back in my spot, made sure to tell the coach how happy I was to be returned to the closer position.

One thing to note and I am unsure on if it is just luck or not but it was my 4th closer where I was put in that position and stayed there. The other 3 I was stuck in the middle rotation and used as a settle things down and get out of a jam guy but never put into the closer so I abandoned them but this guy has been rock solid there.

I'm going to have a SP and a SS this year. I'm currently unsettled as to my pitches. Leaning towards (in order) Knuckleball, Splitter, Knuckle Curve, then later adding Sinker, and a 4-seam (Plain Filthy archetype most likely).

Thanks, Actually it is pretty cool saving one team to save for the next years game. I mean I end up with usually 6 or more different players starting in AA I try to mix it up position wise. Then after I finish the seasons the one I feel will be the best for the next year I save.

I played my Cardinals RTTS transfer , WOW I am impressed Kudos to SDS, just so beautiful and buttery smooth on my PS4 Pro. Awesome !!!
