I'm thinking maybe a roster update will go out tonight before midnight with some ratings changes. At least I hope.

Again, not trying to beat a dead horse. Seems like a fair number of players are either overrated or underrated.

Anyone know if the game is still 1440p on Hybrid mode? I am just not sure why the game cannot do 4k 60fps

All sports games due an most of the game the most action is a pitcher vs hitter...In a narrow setting....I wish 4k 60fps would be feasible...

With millions of textures surrounding the area, such as blades of grass, stadium structures, and thousands of animating fans. Let's not forget the lighting system, as well.

We just don't know what is feasible and what isn't, at least given their approach on the artwork. For example, I would have assumed that Ratchet & Clank should have easily been able to do 60 FPS on the base PS4, never mind the PS4 Pro... but alas, we have no such version of that game sadly.

I forget how this works, if I'm using a PS4 Slim on a 4K TV, do I get any type of upscaling?

2K crowds are not in the same league as the show, as well as in NPC count 2K on average attendance is 15,000 and the rafters are dark as hell, The show goes anywhere from 10,000 to 60,000. And, 2K crowds and arenas are dark and do not have to account for weather or day night cycles also the configuration of the MLB stadiums is unique to that location, NBA arenas are pretty much copy and paste with slight lighting changes and court insignia. To top it off The show crowd are more a 3D puppet than the 2D sprites in NBA 2K.

Can you cancel a double switch without finalizing the pitcher substitution?

Something that this game has always had, which is kind of weird, is that when I'm thinking about putting in a new pitcher and have a double-switch in mind, I first have to choose the pitcher then it redirects me to the lineup screen. From there, if I decide that the double-switch isn't feasible, I cancel out by pressing Circle, but the pitching substitution is still made. I have no chance to completely annex the change altogether if I ultimately say: "Nah, I don't want to do that now after all."

So, I'm asking if they've finally addressed that. It's plagued the game forever.

The 1440p in the game is not even 60fps

The lighting is significantly reduced in the arena, the players are far away and can be at a lower resolution, there are many less fans drawn at one time... a lesser polygon count, really.

And to be honest, I'm not saying NBA 2K is graphically poor or anything, but I always found it weird that people crapped over the MLB 2K graphics but loved the NBA 2K graphics. I thought they both looked relatively the "same." Sure, NBA 2K had more accurate animations and player faces and such, but I didn't think one completely dominated the other. I think VC still has a long way to go in encapsulating true-to-live visual fidelity in their game.

Anyway, I feel like I'm going on a tangent now that we shouldn't be, so we should either bring this to the graphics thread or let it go haha. I'll concede, but the victory on your end unfortunately doesn't come with 4K @ 60 FPS.
