what is the difference between batting difficulty levels? I use pure analog. Does it mean I have to time my stride better? Balls come in faster? Break more? ETC. How does it change the game

All I know is that the visual pitch speed gets faster, and they paint the corners more instead of throwing balls down the center of the plate. The PCI probably gets smaller too, but I use directional.

I wanted to extend Trout with the Angels in ST of my franchise, and he wasn’t eligible? He will be a FA in 2 years.

Was able to do it for Judge. Is it just because of where they are in their service time / contract stages?

You can only extend players on the last year of their contract. They can be renewable or Arb Eligible the following year but they can't be signed past your current season.

This can vary based on hitting interface, and may have changed for 19. One thing I can tell you for sure is pitch speed. It will always be higher on higher difficulties, although it doesn't always change on each difficulty increase.

Playing on All-Star Phillies against the A’s.
CPU won 13 to 8 with 3 bombs so yeah I think they can hit.

                  Yes

I’m 1-5 in Spring Training and the cpu is hitting just fine.

This is default legend with meter pitching

In franchise do they still show standings that reveal the outcomes of games technically in progress (which takes away the suspense because it reveals the outcome), or show the standings as they were before the start of the games that day? It’s something I’d really like to see them fix. Likewise, during the postseason the same problem exists when they put the bracket up showing you who’s won already.

                      So RttS...

I cannot find the option to always have "skip to next appearance" always on. Currently, at the beginning of a new series, the play-by-play screen comes up until my RttS first appearance at which point, I can hit triangle and it will go back to what it has been for the past couple of years. I can't believe this would be done intentionally.

Highly dependent on chosen difficulty level and pitching interface of choice. Keep in mind SDS did say in the streams that HoF and Legend would be much bigger difficulty spikes this year.

I will admit though, pulse legend is easier this year compared to last year. Last year I had to severely nerf the CPU with sliders (was still harder then playing HoF with cpu boosted) while this year I only had to slightly nerf cpu timing and foul frequency.

I'm loving it though, I've never felt more parity with the CPU. That goes for the entire game. Batting, fielding, pitching, once I've got the right difficulty and settings locked in I feel like I'll truly be able to do everything the CPU can do, and visa versa. I never felt that was possible in previous versions of the Show.

                          Hi All,

Is this game worth it for me (Only Offline Franchise user) to buy now or wait until it gets down to like $20? from what i am hearing mostly none franchise updates with fine tuning / same graphics from 2018..

If you're looking for a game with massive changes to Franchise Mode, The Show 19 isn't it.

If you liked Franchise Mode in The Show 18 (or 17, or 16...), and real life contracts, contract extensions, and the ability to front- or backload contracts gets you excited, the Franchise Mode in the Show 19 would be right up your alley.

If you are looking for franchise changes then wait. The contracts can be done on 18. There are roster sets with that, including the issues with real contracts.

The contracts on 18 are all back loaded. Extension are only for human.

If the salary structure and logic gets patched for new salary schedule may be a slight improvement. Right now I think franchise is worst.

Gameplay wise I cannot answer since I have not played enough.

Does anyone know, do the MVP Edition perks only apply to the account that bought the game? (Digital)
