Re: MLB The Show 19 Q&A Thread

    Hi everyone,
I'm a fan of MLB and The Show 19 is my first baseball game.
Starting to play with The Road To The Show and I have a question for you:
I can get a base player like a star like Harper, Stanton and other?
Thanks so much for the answer, and enjoy this wonderful game.

In rtts you play as yourself, and slowly build up his stats etc. You can not play as a real player.

As stated by another, you cannot play as an existing real player, but you should have the option to model your attributes on a real player.

That didn't change this year, did it?

...and welcome to the world of The Show. And say goodbye to your family.

This might not be the right thread for this question but hopefully someone can help me out. I noticed that when you're at the plate in batter's view and a pitch is thrown it shows the speed of the pitch but not what kind of pitch it was. This is in the upper left corner, and in The Show 18 it had the speed and type of pitch. I'm not sure if it's one of the settings or if for some reason they just left out of the game this year. Thanks guys!

I know that different presentation packages have score bugs with different information. So, if the MLB Network package doesn't have it, one of the other two may (I know one of them does for sure, but I'm not sure which one it is).

Thanks, man. It is in Theme 1 and 2. Still weird that it's not in MLB Network.

They're probably trying to reflect what you see in real life. I'm not sure whether or not that is what you see, but I'm thinking not. There aren't too many programs that show that information.

They said in one of the streams this was the case. If MLB Network didnt show it IRL, it wouldn't be included with that package in the game.

Is there a way to see the swing result from each pitch after the at bat?

I can’t figure out the right settings to get the pressure-sensitive throwing. It seems like I have the same exact fielding settings as I did last year but no matter what I change, my fielder throws the ball as soon as I hit the button, doesn’t let me hold down longer for more power behind the throw

Is the pressure-sensitive power for throwing only in button accuracy maybe?

When looking at prospects is current their current rating and scouted is their actual rating or is it their potential?

Is there a thread or article that explains in deeper meaning about the defense for outfielders and how the new defense works? I would be under a ball or tracking it down and then he wouldn’t catch it at all...

There shouldn't be anything new on your end when it comes to tracking (at least, not compared to the last few years). The only thing that has changed is the ability of the players themselves.

Once the landing spot's ball reticle stops "spinning" is when you know that your player has judged the correct landing spot. Normally you have to get a bit behind it, though. I guess I gotta play again to describe it best, because it took a while to get to, even for myself.
