Thanks for the clarification on Acuna. His SCEA face last year was terrible. As long as this one kind of resembles him, I’m ok with that.



Hey, do you know if they added Young Sr. as the Braves 1B coach?

Acuña’s face in ‘18 was from OSFM creators not SCEA I believe. Once he made his debut he was added without his face scan.

Sony did an audio patch update for 18 late last year that added audio for Acuna, Torres and others so if they dont sah there actual names now something’s off, these are the roster issues that sony needs feedback on.

Ramone said on the last stream that any player they scanned this year wouldn't make it on the game till 2020 all the new faces you see on '19 we're scanned at the beginning of last season.

Any high five interactions other than after a homerun is hit?

I feel high fives happen more in baseball vs other sports.

I have my theories why its never been in The Show but thought I would see if it made it in after 5 years lol

Umm I see high fives all the time in 18. I do wish high-fiving the first base coach after a single were a thing (first base coach does a pat on the back for long hitting streaks), but after a home run? happens all the time for me.

I only see high fives after a home run is hit. Only interaction I have seen in years. Ive never seen any other interaction than after a home run is hit and the high five sequence place when other men are on base.

Im hoping for situations like moving a runner over, key hit, run scored, multiple runs scored. I have never seen any high fives listed on the above. Which are basic MLB interactions. Maybe its the way I play the game. Full Broadcast + Player Lock.

If you have video or screen grabs I would love too see it!

Yeah, this is a bit ridiculous. No acuna, but they def. have scans of players that played a handful of games last year who’s names you’ve never heard of.
And I know I know, if the player doesn’t want to be scanned, scans are a year apart etc. acuna was in camp last year and should’ve been scanned. It’s 2019, this shouldn’t be an issue every year. And if they can’t get superstars faces in the game, then actually improve CAP like nba 2k19 style. This shouldn’t be an issue.

Guys, players like Acuna and Machado have to agree to have their faces scanned. You can bet your annual income SDS is asking.

SDS really needs to add these kind animations to the game.

I get very tired seeing a player pump his fist and other celebration animations after a simple single and no men on base.


After a single I want to see random things like the first base coach casually walk to the base runner and pat him on the back,clap his hand, talk to him and even show the base runner talking to the first basemen and lets not forget showing perhaps taking his month piece out or taking his batting gloves off.

They show this all the time after a base hit on real life TV broadcasts!

I really hope to finally see this in MLB The Show 20!

As you can see on simple singles the batters do not act like they just knocked in the game winning hit like they seem to do a lot in MLB The Show 18 and I assume still in 19.
