Do we have an option to turn off that hideous no doubt hr camera this year?

        Re: MLB 19: Q&A Thread

        I have an idea/request:

We have a lot of Q’s with very limited A’s in here. Could we maybe have people who post answers use a different font, bolden, or change the color of their text to differentiate their response from the questions?

I know it’s a pain in the butt, but it’s nearly impossible to sift through these messages and get any info out of them, if we have to make a giant thread each year could instead of being able to ask questions in individual posts could we at least organize it better?

I know I personally waste a lot of time reading back and forth or the same questions that are of no concern to me, I’m sure others do as well. Thanks.

Have people been witnessing less hits down the lines overall? Not just in the sense that defenders are snagging them more, but also in that they occur less frequently.

Good luck getting that one answered. I've already asked twice.

Nope, no option to turn off that camera... no idea why it’s forced considering we can turn off the other stuff

This may be a dumb question but, I was about to purchase the regular digital version on the Playstation store (on my laptop) and it says in the description:

                1 player
                network players 2-8

So, is local 2 player no longer an option? I've been building this game up to my 9 year old son but, if we can't play together then I'll skip it.

I don't have the game yet, but local 2 player will definitely be there.

Thats tough, can sliders fix this? Was looking for a better balance with CPU hitting offline aswell

Same, honestly one of the reasons I bought the game hoping it would be more challenging.

Are you saying the CPU doesn't hit well so far?

Need more time to be fair, but first impression is that it’s not much harder than last year on highest difficulty. In general the feel is so so similar when it comes to gameplay imo

In my experience playing on Legend, the CPU will definitely punish you on fastballs that are in the zone especially when behind in a count. But if you’re pitching on the corners, changing speeds and mostly ahead in the count, then you can usually get a lot of outs. Obviously, the better SPs or RPs you’re using, the easier it is. I’ve let up some runs with mediocre pitchers, even being on the corners.

But overall that’s pretty much how baseball works. It’s not unreasonable that when you have DeGrom or one of the better SPs, you can dominate a game. I don’t feel it happens that way every time. When you make mistakes, you can get hit.

I also pitch realistically. I don’t just spam high and inside fastballs because it can be a weak spot for the AI. I try to just play the game and not abuse the weaknesses of the AI. Not sure everyone plays that way. I’m also not an elite player. I’ve made it to WS a couple times over the years in RS, but it’s always a struggle and I have to play all month. And still sometimes I won’t make it.

                                This.

I always use classic pitching, never have used the hot/cold zones, never thought I had to hold the stick to hit a spot perfectly. The pitch location marker is always off.
