Wonder how the devs will handle throwbacks moving forward. I’m assuming the Majestic logo will be absent from all recent uniform sets, as I wouldn’t think they would have the rights anymore for the brand.

And with the slots system, will these new uniforms override the other most recent sets? Or will they remove a lesser used uniform for those teams, or something that is far older?

And will they slap the Nike logo on the chest of jerseys that never had the Nike logo on them, historically? That would really bother me.

I like Nike clothing and shoes. I’ve met Uncle Phil and he’s an interesting dude, for sure. But I dislike the prominence of the branding on these new uniforms. It’s very amateurish, in my eyes. The sleeve would’ve been much less invasive and more fitting of professional look, for my tastes. It is what it is, and so long as this move keeps other ads from being featured on the uniforms then I’ll swallow my displeasure moving forward. Time will tell.

I’m guessing that the throwbacks will not have a brand logo on it. For example, the NFL previously had Reebok as the uniform provider before Nike; Madden has the throwbacks from that time without Reebok’s or Nike’s logo.

The only uniforms SDS will remove are ones like Rangers Home whites from last year, all the Padres jerseys from last year, etc. I wish they wouldn’t do that and just leave them in as throwbacks.

The last years’ uniforms would be the last ones a lot of us would want to have removed from the game.

And here’s a good question; if they do not have any maker’s marks on the throwbacks that means that they aren’t licensed through a manufacturer of uniforms and must go through the team or the MLB, which they do have a deal with. Meaning, essentially they should be able to include any throwback/uniform ever worn that the teams and league still hold the rights to. Why have they hid behind “licensing” issues in the past when asked about certain eras of throwbacks and team uniforms?

The nike logo should have only been on the sleeve. Doesn't look right on the front of baseball unis.

I haven’t seen this formally announced, however this appears to be the cap the Padres will wear with their camo jerseys:

Edit: I’m terrible at the internet. If you look under Padres caps, it’s the one that says alternate cap. The hat is brown with a white “SD” logo.

I think the SD is actually their sand color.

It’s unclear whether if it is a new alternate or a redesign. I’m hoping it’s just an alternate, since the Jays unis are pretty nice as is.

So that makes the Cardinals, Rangers, Twins, Phillies, Royals, Rays and Blue Jays with powder blue uniforms next season? Seems like overkill.

We can breath again Jays fans, they're a 3rd alternate, not a replacement. I'm fine with the baby blues as an alternate, but I really hope it's a loooooong time before they fundamentally change their current look.

From what I’ve been seeing, it looks like the Blue Jays are no longer considering their red jerseys an official alternate but now a special event jersey. Even though they haven’t worn them regularly in a few years they’ve still been in The Show.

With it no longer being a designated alternate, there’s a good chance they’re removed in The Show 20.

If I'm not mistaken they only wore those for Canada day.
