Depending on how much you plan to play The Show, buying a PS4 just for one game might not be that silly, at all. I spent over 400 hours playing MLB The Show 18, and that met my personal “dollar-to-hour ratio” for my PS4 (that I purchased at launch for full price) ALONE. I’ll likely be playing 19 for around the same amount of total time. I have a lot of games for PS4 that I play as well, but even if The Show was the only game I played on it, I’d still consider it more than worth it to have.

Not to mention, you can get a brand new PS4 for $200-$300 all the time these days.

Thanks guys...I ended up going with a PS3 and bought several versions of The Show since they were only like 4 bucks. I'll see which I like the best.

I just recently blew 1500 on a gaming CPU just to run this Train Simulator I'm a huge fan of...so although I could definitely still afford a PS4, my wife has other notions lol.

One day though...I can tell you this, I'm fully aware of the glory I'm missing out on--but considering I've been stuck with pure garbage for years, this is still a huge improvement.

Thank you all soooo much for the thoughtful replies tho!!!!!!
