Having issues
Is anyone havong issues playing defense with analog throwing? Every time i try and throw the ball my guy pump fakes like 2 to 3 times and sometimes never even throws itTags: None -
Re: Having issues
Are you double pumping? Cause if you flick the stick again it cancels the throw, sorta like doing a fake throw or a cancel throw cause you realize you won't be able to make it.

Re: Having issues
Yes, having the same issue. Analog fielding/throw cancelling on and whenever you press and hold right stick to a particular base your fielder will pump or fake throw without releasing the ball. It’s definitely a bug! Im seeing quite a few bugs already on day one, unfortunately! Anyways, hopefully some of these things will get address in the next patch. I will try turning off throw cancelling and see what happens!Comment

Re: Having issues
Whether bug or not, I can say that the best way to deal with this is to just quickly flick the analog stick instead of holding it. This won't cause you to lollipop the throw either - they still come out at normal speed. It's different from previous years, for sure.
The other issue, accuracy, is a different matter. For years I've played with a fielding difficulty lower than that of my pitching and batting because analog throwing demands a greater level of precision than the other modes. From what I can tell, fielding appears to have been de-coupled from difficulty this year - which is to say there's only one level. And whatever that level is makes it REALLY hard to be consistently precise with the analog flick.
Personally I feel like this has really unbalanced the fielding modes, making button accuracy by far the easiest to be successful with. When I play online, I can't rely on pure analog like I have in the past because it can be as random or worse than the mostly CPU-controlled "Buttons" mode.Comment
