well fingers crossed we get one updated roster for the mode then...as a time limited gamer, and one that hasnt bought the show for a long while...i was actually looking forward to this mode.

Yes, I think he said they want to "lock in" a close-to-accurate opening day roster. Although, they also talked about not having injuries so teams would have their best rosters. I'm not sure what that means for guys, like Gregory Polanco, who will be on the DL at the start of the year.

If they continue to add to this mode (or fold it into franchise), they need to add storylines for players returning from long-term injury and prospect call-ups. Even without custom rosters, most teams have at least a few decent young guys in the minors. If their rating is close to someone's at their position or a starter is struggling, it could trigger the "will they call up ____ to replace _____?" storyline. They could even throw in some commentary on service time manipulation and see how MLB likes that.

While I wish they'd focused on Franchise instead of this new mode we didn't ask for, I will play it while I wait on a good set of Rosters. But once I have a set I like this this mode won't get used again.....

I’m glad it’s here. I’ll be playing this over franchise all year.

I dont think its necessarily an "age" thing. I love the idea of M2O and I want to play it badly. The proble is, I start on just veteran, as a favorite team and they turned Mike Minor into damn Cy Young. High 90s and just unhittable. I am not a year round grinder so I function at the lower end of the Veteran setting. Not being able to adjust pitch speed just makes it no fun because I am lucky to eek out a single. Dont want to sink to rookie level but having trouble adjusting here. Love the idea tho.

got an email back from show support...all they told me was MTO rosters will be updated.

didnt say when...also i wonder if you are halfway through the season in this mode what will happen when they update...maybe new rosters wouldnt take into effect until you start the mode over.

Interesting...they did say in their pre-release Twitch streams that the rosters would be locked in a close to Opening Day as possible, but they wouldn't be updated throughout the year (at least that was how I understood it). So perhaps a Opening Day update will happen and that will be that. I would assume the "updated" roster would only be for new MtOs that would be started after the roster update is added.

If this is true I’ll wait to retry this mode. I wasn’t happy with the Jays roster that they used at launch. I hate carrying 3 catchers.

I've come to the conclusion that as a stand alone mode that March To October is fun.

But as a Mode that somehow tries to merge Franchise and DD it kind of fails to engage fans of either mode to invest much time into it.

Franchise fans are all about being able to control their team, their lineups and all their settings. They can't do that here.

DD fans want to use this mode to earn team affinity points but, if they lose, they get nothing. It appears to be an all or nothing affair. If I get my team to the WS and somehow lose game 7 then I earn nothing towards Team Affinity and am forced to restart from scratch. Having the mode be so extreme in it's all or nothing approach is not enticing to me as a DD player.

I still don't understand why you can't simply play a season of franchise and have the same thing. They upgraded very little for franchise while spending developer hours to produce a mode which is simply a dumbed down version of franchise.

If they continue in this trend they risk losing some of their customers. I'd be interested to see what sales of the game look like relative to previous years.

I get annoyed at failing a 7 game moment, I cannot even imagine the rage I'd get at losing the WS on Mto and being expected to replay the whole thing. A 15 hour long pass/fail seems like absolute insanity tbh, it just means I'd never dare play it on a difficulty that I'm not 100% confident on winning pretty much every single time, as I can't be wasting 15 hours of my life on a fail

So you are mad that you cant handle higher difficulty gameplay ON HIGHER DIFFICULTY?

Im sorry but isnt that the point of higher difficulty gameplay... for it to be harder?

Kind of confused what you want to happen, if you can change pitch speed then how exactly is it harder difficulty for more rewards while playing on afk mode?

There are other modes, if you reached your limit move on, or spend time practicing, its not just about pitch speed, its recognizing what pitches and working pitch counts.
