Wish they’d bring MVP back so I can play on my Xbox

This is not true. As Smallville said, there are few triple A sports games in general. For a while NBA Live fell off the map and it was just 2K. It has more to do with the cost of production and licensing fees I think. If you go to any Baseball game you’ll see kids of all ages. Kids still love Baseball.

I also think for game developers, dropping the money for production and licensing is probably too risky to take on an established franchise. I’d imagine that creating a sports game in this day and age is incredibly complex. You’d have to have top artists and game engineers to create something that would compete with The Show. It would have to be a major project.

The only way I see this happening is if Microsoft formed a team to make a new MLB game. But i just can’t see a competing MLB game on the PS4.

And BTW. You can thank Microsoft for the death of competing MLB games. With their purchase of exclusive 3rd party MLB rights, it killed MVP (MLB) Baseball. If this didn’t happen MVP might still be alive today and evolved with The Show. We’d have two beasts of MLB games.

Have anyone found out which is the best way to play the game with minimized frame rate issues on 1080p?
      Supersampling on or off?
      Any tips please?

Super sampling on with the game on balanced will give you the best looks with the least noticeable frame dips on a 1080p screen.

Looks like straight 60 FPS to me, at least on PS4 Pro.

It's best not to compare the two games, though.

I do not. I went to YouTube for my 60 FPS observation.

Regardless, this thread is neither about RBI Baseball nor its gameplay.

Faster mode will have the highest frame rate, which is a good thing, but the issue is that the swings in frame rate will be greater when it dips down compared to balanced mode, therefore it will be easier to spot. Example, IF it dipped from 60fps down to 24 you would be able to see it easier than if it dipped from 30fps down to 24. Once again just an example.

Day game at Griffith stadium has been by far the smoothest experience for me. A weird thing, you know the cut scene that shows the third base coach and the base line and foul line are always dotted, at this stadium, for some reason, it isn't. It looks nice.

I’ve been using the broadcast camera on offense and the frame rate drops have been minimal. But it a difficult camera to use on defense.

How long before they are not able to ignore this. Also, are we in a minority on the issue?

You don't know what they are and are not working on to remedy this. Keep in mind that it's unlikely they can optimize per stadium on this. Whatever graphical changes they decided to make to this game hurt some stadiums more than others, and trying to change something graphically post-release might not necessarily be in their best interest.

Oh, very much so. You can't even question that for a second. It is likely less worth their time to address this than it is to work on something else, even if it is next year's game with an improved framerate.

My goal in this thread is to give them and the people as many objective values that I am able. Obviously my project has hit a bit of a hiatus, but I haven't even played a single video game since the last time I paused the project. Spring Break had ended, and life got back in the way again at the time. I'll continue it again when I am able.
