The only way to get them to sub is to sim thru a few late game innings while they are batting. It's not fun doing it that way but it's the only way right now.

If you’re playing the game (not manage only) you can switch teams and make subs

Spring training doesn't change out players. Actually, IRL, starters hardly play the first week of spring training and those that do only play a few innings. But in the game they play every game.

Hopefully they'll fix the spring training glitch. I don't know how that got messed up this year. Always worked in previous versions.

Finally started my Franchise Spring Training today hoping this issue was fixed with the 1.05 patch, yep, not so much. I noticed the pitchers were coming out after 3 or 4 innings which gave me hope, but then nothing later in the game with position players. I ended up doing like several of you suggested, pausing the game, switching sides and then substituting players out. What a pain in the butt having to do this for the entirety of Spring Training. Hoping there’s a fix soon...

Today after I played I did end up submitting a bug report on the issue. Just curious if anyone else had prior to me? Though I read somewhere, someone saying SDS knew of the issue. If that was the case, strange they didn’t fix it on the last patch.

They are aware of the issue. My guess is that it wasn't "fixed" in time to make this patch. I'm guessing it will be fixed in the next patch.

Post-patch 1.06, still same issue.
