Have not downloaded patch 1.4 yet. But did noticed it sounds really low. I even had it maxed all the way up in settings. I play with headphones on also.

The PA announcer sounds perfectly fine.

In fact, I think he sounds grrrrreat!

It's like they brought Thurl Ravenscroft back from the dead!

There was an issue with the stereo mix. A fix is coming.

Thank you for the update, I appreciate them looking into this I know SDS strives for realism as I do. I am sure they spent a lot of time recording with the new announcer and wanted us to have a great PA experience for this years game.

                Well. This is awkward.

I loved the way the new guy sounded. Reminded me a little of the low voice of the late great Bob Sheppard, "the voice of Yankee Stadium."

And, as heard in the above link, the incredible Thurl Ravenscroft...which is the most amazing name ever.

                  Re: PA Announcer sounds odd

Well, I'm going to admit after buying this game and listening to him, that he doesn't sound like what I thought people were describing.

He also doesn't sound like I had hoped. Not the way the lines were recorded, but the way the mix was placed.

He should definitely have much more definition to his sound, to that I agree. The reverberation is all wrong, though. It doesn't sound anything like he's coming from stadium speakers.

We'll see what this update provides for us. I still don't hope they make it sound like previous years, though.

If it is like last years you can always lower the announcer volume settings to your liking which probably will give you the results you desire.

I know you don't know about this, but adjusting all in-game settings is the first thing I always do every year, including and especially audio settings. In fact, members on here used to request my audio slider settings for games because they knew I always went for the "TV broadcast feel." Also, I used to do PA announcing for high school football games. Oh yeah, I went there.

And once again, the issue isn't the volume. The issue is the post-filtering. It doesn't sound like on TV, it doesn't sound like in a stadium... nothing. Previous years didn't, either.

We'll see what their next update provides.

Wow and to think I almost went out to buy a new pair of headphones, a new sound bar and new stereo system.

But seriously, good thing SDS is on top of things. That's why I bought the GY edition.
