I use the stadium specific cam as much as I can. There are a few that are too difficult but I like seeing the different angles

And the signs from the catcher are dummy signs. They don't actually give the pitch or location away.

I have batted this way with every version of the show since the 1st way back with David Ortiz on the cover. I actually got started doing this on MLB 2006 which came out in '05 Vladi on the cover. It definitely takes some getting used to. I play all cams on broadcast with clean screen. It's fun for me.

You have to choose a cam thats centered, which is why I recommended Miami Pittsburgh and St. Louis. Otherwise you are just guessing. When it’s centered and I focus on the middle of the zone I have a great eye about swinging a good pitches. I don’t think some of you understand how you can legitimately play that way and be able to tell balls from strikes really well. Just focus on the center of the zone. For instance, if a pitch is going to be way out of the zone, if ur staring right in the center, your peripheral vision can instantly tell The pitch is way off. What I love about it is it The bitch is way off. What I love about it is it makes us so realistic in terms of: changeups being tough to hit, getting called looking cuz balls on the corners can be tough, if u have a left hand hitter and theres a LH pitcher that throws from a funky angle way out to the side good luck hitting it because if uare staring at the middle of the zone you dont see the ball until its almost in the catchers mit.

There are only a handful of broadcast cams you should be using really. I just switch between MIA, PIT, STL, and maybe one other HOU maybe? but if your using like TEX you’re not gonna be able to have a good eye.

If the ball wasn’t the size of a small house from this view, I would only use it. Can’t get over how big the ball is.

The pitchers view is the only way I can hit. At first it was tough but after awhile I got use to it. Not sure why I even considered it other then maybe to replicate a tv broadcast. Think I’ve been playing that way for 9 years now. The key, like several people here have stated, is to focus on a quadrant of the zone you’re looking to hit. I also have a second camera programmed to use against left handed pitchers.

Aww fastEd you kill the realism! Lol Dont u think it adds to the realism that its tougher to hit Lefty vs lefty and righty vs righty? Especially like sidewinders and sideArm guys, just like the mlb it tougher cuz u dont see the ball til later.

I don't know what anyone's view looks like, but when I shift views, especially midgame, it throws me off for a while, which is how I imagine it'd look to a hitter seeing a southpaw after all right-handers. Even if it's to my platoon advantage, it's still changing vision.

Plus, everything looks different. Break on pitches, apparent velocity, etc. Sidearmers are still tough to pick up (my cams are set more for the 3/4 line so over the top or sidearm or *shudder* the Byung-hyun Kim type delivery all cause me to change my read/vision), especially on anything sweeping away L vs. L.

Inside looks like it's "right there" (but it's actually not a strike, but that's the center point on the vision so I can be enticed to swing inside/reach if RHB) while away looks "a mile away", but the far corner is a strike, it might not look like it with the movement of the pitch and the overall line of the motion-to-release-to-pitch movement sequence.

I like to hit from a hitters perspective & pitch from a pitchers perspective. theres just nothing like the rush of a 93 mph sphere hurtling towards you with a split second to decide whether to swing duck or take. I wish more tv broadcasts would show a few (quite a few in fact) plate appearances from behind the plate.
