March to October - Do NOT quit and retry games if you want rewards

Came across this at The Show Nation, posted it in the other March to October thread, but felt it might be necessary to spread the word via its own post.

If you quit in the middle of a game in MtO, then reload and retry the game, you will forfeit any rewards you'd earn after winning the mode. This was confirmed by a dev here: https://theshownation.com/forums/12-...omments/949395

Basically, don't rage-quit your games in MtO...

This is not good. What if I'm playing and legit have to stop and exit because real life calls? This is a problem.

I pause and come back to it if real life gets in the way.

Kinda stinks though. If you get a power outage....yer screwed.

Found out rosters are fixed in this mode to opening day.

        Can someone confirm?

So say I want to do this mode with another team after the trade deadline I’m hosed if I want accurate rosters.

There is talk of SDS possibly updating the rosters to this mode ONCE in the near future after players have played their first games. But they are going to be based around opening day rosters, so yeah - pulling this mode up at the real-life trade deadline isn't going to get you more up to date rosters.

That’s the problem with the mode being tied to DD. They have to do that so people can’t cheat for the rewards.

What is this tied to? Your save file, or is it done through their online servers?

Well, there is an offline save file, plus you can have several different MTO saves (it autosaves, so you can't save at multiple times on the same run). The game doesn't really need to "phone home" to know if a game gets interrupted by dashboard, power outage, or whatever. If a game was started in the mode and doesn't finish, that's probably what trips the reward disable flag.

Just wondering, because if you really wanted to either exploit it or save yourself in those extreme circumstances, you can probably just pull a save from the cloud and replay it without any repercussions.
