16 by 9 is the industry standard aspect ratio. If you are talking about resolution such as 1080p, 1440p or 2160p (4k) then that depends on the frame rate you are after. faster (1080p) should be 60fps, balanced (1440p) is probably anywhere from 30-60 at times, and 4k is 30 fps, supposedly. Even if your tv / monitor is 1080p, you can still run the game at a higher resolution and the game will down sample back to the native resolution which in theory will give you slightly better visuals.

Ah makes sense. Thanks for the info. I just put it on 16 by 9 and it looks fantastic on my 1080p TV.

Wrong Balanced is a solid 60 FPS at all times, I've been testing it with Faster and there is no difference.

Go find a credible article on the internet about how balanced mode is running at a locked 60fps or how faster and balanced runs at the same fps, locked or not, or ask the devs themselves... I'll wait.
