Re: Baserunning
As someone who plays Player Lock and relies on the CPU teammates to actually run the bases.
I have detailed several post with video evidence of how bad the CPU has been previous iterations.
Someone was paying attention because I am incredibly happy to see the below feature in MLB The Show 19
CPU Base Runner Track The Ball:
I got the game at patch 1.03. I noticed runners who were slow speed would actually make a turn the bag animation at second and third base. And not contimue to run home even through they would be out by a mile.
After several games in my Franchise I feel this has been fixed to a point to where I am actually enjoying the games. Knowing your CPU teammate runner is tracking the ball better by running the bases makes this game’s game play so much more playable.
While I have seen runners take off on close pass balls or “in the dirt here” its not as bad as previous iterations. Even though its the same roun the bag animation for every player. I can live with that for now.

Re: Baserunning
I use Default but Classic is good too. The most important thing is to learn to stop jamming L1 every time the ball is hit. Learn to control 3 individual runners individually on the fly and use L1 and R1 sparingly. I suggest going into practice and doing it. Or - use two controllers and control the opponent so they wont throw you out, while you play around with sending individual runners to different bases. It eventually becomes muscle memory/second nature.Comment
