Throwbacks Uniforms that need to be fixed next season:


1992 Toronto Blue Jays away batting helmet should be solid blue and not have the white panel.


1989 Indians need Chief Wahoo on Caps/Sleeves. If they're gonna eliminate Chief Wahoo then replace the 1989 set with the 1980 set as they have the 1980 cap with the 1989 Uniforms sans Chief Wahoo.


1984 Detroit Tigers batting helmet needs an Orange English "D" not white.


1980 Kansas City Royals have no names on the back of their uniforms.



Why have the 1993 Mariners uniforms when they are just like the current set and also the 93 Away uniform never had a Teal Bill. Just replace the 93 set with the 1994 Teal Crown Cap and the 1999 Sleeve set.


1956 Milwaukee Braves need the screaming Brave on the side shoulder.


1993 Marlins Teal Vests need a Teal batting helmet, not black


1980 Phillies need names on Home/Away set.


1985 Cubs Home should have blue lettering not red


Uniforms that need to be added in MLB 20


Replace the 1941 Red Sox Uniforms with the 1986 Uniforms

The DBacks alt teal uniforms have the team colors in The Show as: TC1 = Red, TC2 = Black, TC3 = Teal.

In real life when they wear those unis the red is less prevalent and the teal is more so. Teal should probably be TC1 and Red should be TC3, with Black remaining as TC2.

Pretty sure (90%) that in '92 the Jays batting helmets at home did have the white panel. However, in '93, they began wearing the all blue caps at home when they were in the middle of a stretch where they couldn't seem to win at home.

I was referencing the 1992 Toronto Blue Jays AWAY batting helmet being wrong in the game. The home uniform is correct with the White Pannel. The Away batting helmet should be all blue in the game.


Also 1992 Expos are missing the MLB logos on the back of their caps as 1992 was the first year the MLB logo was placed on the back of caps and the Expos debuted new uniforms that season and kept them until 2004. SCEA needs to add the 90's Expos blue alternate uniforms as well as a plethora of other missing Throwback Alternates in the game (Pirates Black Tops/Yellow Trousers 72 A's Green tops etc.)

Marlins TC3 should be caliente red (looks pink to me though). It’s white/grey in the game

Or make TC1 their light blue and TC2 can be their caliente red keeping the home/road equipment workaround as is in TC3.

Phillies ‘74 throwbacks should be a darker red. Same shade of red used on the powder blue alts is what it should be.

Anyway since MLB 20 the Show will be the last installment on the PS4 to get attention before switching to the PS5, hopefully Sony goes all out and adds a plethora of more throwback uniforms.

Not thread related and don’t want to spin this thread off topic, but I’d bet, from now owning 4 generations of consoles, based on past experiences, 20 will be nothing new, 21 will be something that can easily be ported to ps5 and very similar to ps4, and 22 should be the “big leap” unless they go full EA and have pitiful games that focus primarily on card collectors/micro transactions.

I agree with you... but typically it's the third iteration of a sports title on a new console generation that really fits the 'big leap' moniker.

HOWEVER, seeing as how the PS5 and Xbox Series X will carry over the same x86 architecture, we may very well see a 'big leap' a year or even two sooner then we've seen in the past (not only with sports titles also).

Now back to uniforms, wish throwback Cleveland uniforms that had Chief Wahoo still had the Chief, but I understand the issue there as well. MLB would in no way green light that being included in the uniform set regardless of authenticity.

The Phillies alternate powder blues have the coaches jacket as the current era (1992 - Present). Since the alternate is a throwback to 1982 - 1991, it should have the coaches jacket be burgundy instead of their current red.

We need SCEA to change colors to where black/white is NEVER a TC1 or TC2 unless teams only have one (or none) non-grayscale color. Teams like Baltimore (black, orange, white), Pittsburgh (black, yellow, white) and the White Sox (black, silver/gray, white) apply here.

The Royals gold “KC” hat should have the batting helmet with a gold “KC” on it as well.

The game has the generic helmet paired.

It should look like this:

This has been fixed in the Show 2020. In the latest stream when they were showing Faces of the Franchise is when we saw the correct helmet.
