Just bite the bullet and play on max speeds. That's what I'm doing from now on no matter how many games I lose.

I'll give it a go, takes balls to hit at 10 speed on legend.

Guys! The ones with no issues, which hitting interface are you using, level and team? For me in 7 games with the Marlins, with Veteran and Directional hitting, I have 0 home runs and very few balls hit that are even close to the warning track. With guys that are suppose to have pop and average vision ratings.

Again I play with Directional Hitting and Button Pitching because I like for the players ratings to matter all the time when I play.

I was on all star directional but changed to all star analog and getting at least 1 homer a game now.

Last game I hit 3 on legend analog stride with pitch speeds at 6...still testing with TNK sliders...might have to increase pitch speeds a little.

I think stride timing matters alot, it's really a timing mechanism for me as I think thats what it was intended for. I've only played The Show on analog stride, can't use a button alone to hit, feels very unnatural. Some players I'd do better with cause their stride is more fluid and that also goes for their bat waggle. I've been playing baseball for practically my whole life and I would always mimic Ken Griffey jr. Stride and swing so when i create my myself in the game it's the same stride/swing. Now I don't fully know if the motion of the stride in the game acts as a momentum for power/contact cause their are individual buttons to pre-swing with. Since I've been only playing with analog stride it's just natural now, I don't even think I just react with it. Last year I did legend with 10 pitch speed and after about 6 or 7 games so far I've adjusted to 19 which is more than a little bit faster. This year at pitch speed 6 I was all over the place, late, early...it was very inconsistent but now at pitch speed 10 it feels more natural and reactive. Right now still working on sliders, I'm at contact 5, power 5, timing 4, foul 3.

I haven't noticed any changes. Hitting after the patch seems the same as it was pre-patch.

I hit what I consider an acceptable amount of home runs still, but for whatever reason, Matt Carpenter seems to be the most prolific at it. He has like 14 or 15. Goldschmidt has 3 and is tied with Stan Musial (who is another lefty but is not a power hitter)

I can live with fewer homeruns if it did not seem like the vast majority of good timed, squared up hits went straight at fielders and I got more hits being slightly off.


Oh and every outfielder making amazing diving catches every game.

I was badly throughout the first 8 or so games in my Franchise. I think it must have been a timing issue because in my last 3 I have hit 8 homeruns.. All-Star default sliders.

For people who use zone hitting, I feel like launch angles are off which might explain the lack of HRs. I square up a ton of balls and show exit velocity well over 100 mph but almost all of my hits are line drives. Rarely hit one with a high launch angle. Anyone else experiencing this?

I use Zone hitting as well, but I haven't felt that the launch angles are off. Everything seems balanced for me thus far. Granted I'm only 20 games into spring training, but I haven't felt as though an outcome of a ball put in play has been "off".
