It's hard to forget that all people wanted was the OPTION that was originally there...and their response was no.

When your focus becomes adding things to the game that your customer base isn't asking for because YOU think it's cool, and then when you resist their feedback because YOU are married to it, one shouldn't be surprised where that leads. Now, years later, we have no more season mode, no more online franchise mode, and no fix for legacy issues that have been with the game for ten years.

People who made those predictions been proven correct, I think.
It's one of only a few things they've ever taken away, options-wise. They got rid of a niche mode and another that wasn't up to par as well. It's still a dope *** game...

The reason I don't like it is that it takes away the fun of watching the HR as it happens. They like to talk up the broadcast presentation but then force you to use something that, as far as I know, isn't in a real broadcast.

It is probably one of the things I dislike most in the game. It stinks cause you can't really see the HR half the time with the no doubt angle. I tried everything and I can't find a way to disable it. I really hope the option is there to turn it off in 2020?

LOVE THIS FEATURE... it is both a dagger to your heart when it happens to you and it is a huge ego boost for you when it shows how much you just destroyed that pitch!!!!!!

            Re: No doubt HomeRun camera

I have always disliked the Home Run Camera and I was and still am very aggravated when the genius developer decided to remove the "option" to turn it off!!!

However after years have now past since the option to turn off the Home Run Camera was removed I have come to realize it's not the idea of the Home Run Camera itself that I hate it's that almost all of the Home Run Camera angles SUCK!!!!!!!!

A very small few of them are pretty good but the problem is you can not see the flight of the baseball in almost all of the Home Run cameras. In fact you can not even see the baseball at all and have no idea where it is even going in so many of these Home Run cameras.

So my request to the MLB The Show developers is if you are not willing to bring back the option to turn off the Home Run Camera then can you at least look into totally redoing all of them so they have much better angles and show where the heck the baseball is going please?

Completely agree, I wouldn't hate the camera so much if it actually looked good. But seriously just let us have the option. Even if it's a no doubter I love the will it/won't it anticipation of the default camera angle.

Just to bring this back up and to check, still no way to disable it right?

Nothing agasint it, but for plp like me who like to see the game like a tv broadcast its very unrealistic. I fell we should at least have the option to disable it.

I'm really hoping the development team is starting from scratch on PS5. New engine, new ideas, no legacy issues and ideas that keep things like this growing stale. This is going to sound stupid, but as long as they don't change anything, nothing is going to change.

Still weird that I was somehow able to get this disabled on '17.

Yeh man, makes no sense not to have such a simple option to disable this, its like theyre imposing us to see this... dont get it.

I’ve honestly felt this with the series for over twelve years, that some of this game does have this “Look at me” attitude/swagger. Though the last time I said that I was chastised for it, so... yeah.

I’d like most of these home run celebrations to be caught more so in replay, and even DeRosa can say: “With that flip you know he knew it was gone then and there.”

A little off-topic, but I would like them to keep adding to the home run landing location commentary as well.

Would you mind telling me how you did this? I'm still enjoying 17 with my Stros. I'd love to have it disabled.

The truth is I have no idea. I have a video that I showed everyone where I just hit bomb after bomb (created and duplicated a brute of a player and maxed out my sliders while facing a duplicated loser pitcher and lowered CPU sliders), and with every camera angle type it never once showed.

I’m gonna say something dramatic here, but because home runs are up I’m getting this stupid camera often... so much so that I won’t play any longer. The camera bothers me that much, I hate it. I also hate what it says about the direction of the game that they can’t even acknowledge giving us an option that was removed. EA gets bashed ALL the time but in truth they are no better

There still is not a will it/wont it feeling because the outfielders stop running and baserunners stop running anyways
