Is anyone having serious issues with fielding in the outfield?

So all of a sudden in my last few game I seem to be having major issues controlling my outfielders.

I guide them to the marker on the field and try to let them settle in to make the catch and for some reason they just move away from it and never go into a catching animation and the ball drops. I literally lost a game earlier because of this and I just gave the tying run in the 6th because of it.

Is anyone else having this issue?

I had this happen to me once, but it was just one play. Haven't seen it happen again. I'll let you know if it returns.

Yeah it's weird. It didn't happen at all in like the first 10 games I played, then all of a sudden it happened three times in one game, then one time in each of the next two games.

It seems that the player won't lock into the animation to make the play for some reason.

I've had that happen to me once in RTTS where I was running right at the spot where the ball was going to land, which should have triggered the catch animation but it didn't and he ended up running in front of the spot instead and the ball sailed right over his head despite the fact as the one controlling him I had him running straight at the correct sport then the catch animation triggered so he's holding his glove above his head to catch a ball that's already sailed over him, looking like a complete moron.

Once with Pham in LF. Ball rolled to the wall and he ran in a circle before getting it and they scored and inside the park HR.

I didn't really put it down to the game though. I think it's the fact that the game helps you less in the field this year, in general. In the past you'd get the outfielder roughly to where the ball was landing and the game would take over and do the rest. i think thats less common this year. Not saying that's the cause but think it might be a finer line this year on blaming the game and just needing to stay focussed on making the catch until its in the glove this year.

I just had this happen multiple times this morning to cost me games. Bader hit a linedrive right at Inciarte, who I only needed to bring in a few steps. I was in position and he just didn't catch it as it sailed past him. Very next hitter was Molina, who hit a routine groundball to Albies. I moved him into position where the marker was and he just kept running past and didn't field the ball. It definitely feels like something isn't triggering an animation or something. These aren't wild plays where I feel I did everything correctly and didn't pull off a tough play. These were pretty routine plays that required just a bit of positioning and then they just didn't catch the ball.

A few games after this one I had a similar issue with Markakis. All I had to do was range toward the foul line for him to catch it and he just kinda...stopped and watched it land. Most of these I've seen the player reach their glove up and catch it on the run but this one it just never happened.

For everyone having this issue, for the record, are you on a monitor or a TV? The people I know with this issue have been on a TV for what its worth.
