I Really hope this isn’t true. The game was playing great and the stupid hitting the pitcher was so much less frequent. Please tell me they aren’t fixing one thing and messing gameplay up.

Have others experienced this? Is it not worth downloading it?

Not true. The addition of the pre-pitch presentation and gameplay are top notch. Gameplay has not changed. I haven't had a ball hit the pitcher yet and continuing after the patch had the CPU make a nice grab and also had the ball go right by the pitcher into CF.

Quoting myself here, but neither of these bugaboos were fixed in this patch.



I was hoping at least the switching faces/skintones would've been fixed, but not yet.

New presentation cams now working with quick counts!
Only downside is i set them as highreel (i thinks thats whats its called) but it shows up on the 1st pitch of every at bat.

I really only want to see it on key moments.
But great that they patched them in.

This is great news! I just got the game today and was worried I was going to have to decide between using QC and seeing all the new cameras. Can you change how frequently you see them?

Since the patch I'm seeing way too many hits up the middle and to center field. Hit the pitcher twice in one game. The game speed seems faster too. Animations and the way the fielders throw seems way off to me

My hitting is fine and so is my fielding, but just like you have experienced Greinke getting hit twice up the middle within 2 innings. I chalk up as an anomaly and hit timing perhaps. Mind you, those were the early innings and not once after in 2 games.

Just for the record, I hit the pitcher twice in one game, and hit him at least once three games in a row before today's patch.

guess we are stuck waiting another month before we can potentially start a franchise with issues of the lack of subbing in spring and the service time mishaps? every year its something that prevents u from starting day 1 and its not even a concern for sds apparently...…. so frustrating

That's why I hold off until later to buy the game. What's the point of starting a season in franchise until the V2 release of OSFM? You'll have patches released by that time that fix quirks with the game as well along with a quality slider to choose from. I don't see the need to start a season ASAP only to start a new one after the second version of OSFM is released. I just keep playing '18 and keep up with the news and notes on '19.

On a bright note, the one time I hit a pitcher this year there was a cut scene of him taking a knee visibly hurt. He didn't come out of the game but still a nice touch

You'll have patches released by that time that fix quirks with the game as well along with a quality slider to choose from. This where the carryover save has been a godsend for me. I haven't started a new franchise since MLB 14. I'm 11 seasons in and am just able to fire away upon launch. I feel for the people that specifically want to attempt to replicate 2019 but Personally I've had a blast just cranking out seasons.

Ya I know but I like to play every game and it’s a long season to try to get in a 8/9 month period if I wait until May to even start, be nice to see a game be released once without baffling oversights that the community notices within hours of playing, QC seems to be lax in today’s video game market
