I did but long after it mattered. I didn't know you could early on because it didn't really stick out as an option. This team is doing terrible haha. We're hanging out with the Marlins. I was mostly using this run as a practice session because I haven't played The Show in years on a regular basis and I suck at hitting right now. My old MVP habit of just flicking the stick up to hit bombs hasn't been erased yet.

When I start a new one I'm changing everything from the beginning and we'll see how it goes.

      Other Facts

I've had no shortage of dramatic moments in this run so far, including this one - 35 power Victor Caratini going deep to walk off vs the Cardinals:

Every single game on Legend is a battle.
      Update:

I chose not to trade anyone - the phrase "don't fix what's not broken" comes to mind with a 103-win season. Plus I would have had to give up David Bote and there weren't any offers I was willing to do that for. I'm going right into Franchise after this is over so any trade made for the sake of trading would have repercussions.

While I did get into the postseason as the best team in the NL (only the Yankees and Red Sox were better), I do have some serious concerns about who I'm bringing in to pitch in close games. Morrow has been shaky all year, losing his closer's spot to Cishek early (the CPU made that change, not me), and while Strop was nearly unhittable for most of the season, he struggled from August on. Only Cishek - the league's leading closer with 47 saves - has been truly reliable for me. So it is that one of the real-life Cubs' weaknesses might end up tormenting me in the postseason.

I'm probably going to start the playoffs tomorrow - and there's a pretty good chance I'll be streaming it.

        Yankees - Legend - 1st playthrough

I'm at game 161, and after a midseason meltdown of the ages (was on pace for 116 wins at the end of May) I've lost the division race and am barely hanging on to the wild card. Both the Mariners and the Twins are tied with me. If I win this game, I clinch a wild card spot. Chances are, I'll lose and complete one of the worst collapses of all time.

I just can't hit anything right now.

I saw on Twitter that Mills said a roster update is coming for MTO!

I'll be waiting for that before I jump into this mode.

Using the Yankees on AS. Currently 73-41 with a 4.5 game lead on Boston. Started one with Seattle on Veteran. Way too easy. 31-4 currently...

They must have done one because Hunter Strickland is in the M's bullpen and wasn't before

Interesting, so they're able to update the rosters even though you already started.

Re: How's Your March to October Going?

Decided to give it a go after getting bored waiting for patches and rosters.

Annoyingly the Rays on have 12 position players (and only 24 men on the roster I think) which makes late subs a pain.

I quite enjoyed it tbh. Like the different amounts you play and the player lock games. Can’t help but think you always make the playoffs though otherwise people wouldn’t come back. Has anyone had a non playoff season, or below .500?

Re: How's Your March to October Going?

Braves are giving me a real battle in the NLDS. They stole game 1 in 13 innings on a bases loaded walk, and a Rizzo 9th inning walkoff HR in game 2 has sent the 5-game series to Atlanta tied at 1. Currently in game 3 in the 4th inning (really early for an MTO drop-in).

Update: Cubs take the NLDS in 4, and Anthony Rizzo is a monster. 3 HR's, 4 runs, 5 RBI - and all 3 homers put the Cubs ahead in the late innings. Every game except game 4 was decided by a single run, and two of them went to deep extra innings.

6 homers by the Cubs total in the 4 games, for those who are still worrying about power.

Nationals are next, and the sim has spotted them a 2 run lead in game 1.

you should post more videos, i think there are quite a bit of people who like watching people play well on legend. i see a lot MTO on youtube and they all either suck and play on low difficulties or they play on legend and they can't hit

Is winning the World Series the only way to get the rewards?

I feel like there should be rewards at other points as well especially with the lower ranked teams. I'm using the Marlins for the challenge and I would consider it a successful season to just make the playoffs. It's super hard to win the World Series, I'm not saying that shouldn't be the goal but it shouldn't be World Series or bust for the rewards especially since they want us completing this on the higher difficulties.

It is the only way to get the team affinity rewards.

I think that was a big mistake. I am currently playing through as the Cardinals. I am in good shape to win the division. If I somehow manage to lose in the playoffs then I am probably done with the mode. If you are playing for the Team Affinity and lose then it is way to punitive to receive nothing.
