    Jumping/Diving with the analog stick

So when you use button or button accuracy for throwing you can use the R stick to jump and dive.

So now I’m wondering why is diving pushing down on the R stick and not simply in the direction of the ball? This would be so much more natural and the mvp series always had it like this.

For example: a ball hit right or left side over the head of an infielder now requires you to think if you should press up (jump) on the stick or press down (dive) and often the fielder doesn’t really have awareness to where the ball is and he just jumps straight up or dives into no balls land.

I know there is a one button option for both jumping and diving and that the player would make the appropriate decision for every play but this has never worked well in my opinion.

Just program the R stick so that wherever you point it when you want to jump/dive for the ball the player reacts accordingly.
