Long Pressing X to Skip Line-Ups

I like the new addition of the "Long Press" that allows you not to skip past the Lineups and Positions by accidentally getting to the next screen.

I would like to see them add the Long Press to any injury pop-up that occurs. Unfortunately, too often you don't get an animation of a guy holding his shoulder or elbow, because you skip too quickly, and then all you see is the "Your Player is Injured, You must Replace Him" screen.

Perhaps if the long-press could be added to the injury update, that would allow the user to see what happened, and if injuries are on, seeing the report would be nice.

Additionally, someday I would hope to see an animation of a pitcher shaking out his arm, or a baserunner bending over and holding an ankle or a hamstring, and then get an announcement from the booth "Uh oh, it looks as if Player xxx is holding his knee". Or for more severe injuries, he is laying there, waiting for the trainer.

Either way, the Long-Press addition to the injury screen would be easy to implement, and add a lot in not wondering what happened in the event of a quick advance.

I would actually like a long press for all cutscenes. I think we get in the habit of spamming the X button from all the years of playing. But when you aren't playing with QC or Hybrid, there should be an option to have long press for all cutscenes, for those who enjoy that type of stuff.

I think I would be more likely to watch the activity in between pitch if I didn't press X so often by mistake.

I think it's nifty, for sure. I do wish they reworked their logic in presenting that information to us, though. They wait until the second inning to show defenses. The pre-game should probably show all of this information, if not at least get the lineups and starting pitcher out of the way, then defense after the first batter.

Anyway, I wish they could let us press X to skip certain cut scenes but still see its replay. Sometimes I'm between pitches in an AB that wants to show a replay, but I don't know about it and then I miss it in its entirety.

I wish we could fast skip or turn off Heidi Watney, 7 games into franchise and I'm already tired of her.

Absolutely this. I skip a lot of cutscenes but a lot of it is dud to habit and sometimes I regret pressing X so often. I'd appreciate them using the long press to moderate my skipping habit.

I really like it and I think it should be extended to all cutscenes. For sure, having an option in settings like :

            - None ( for those who want it as previous years)
            - Short press to skip ( I find the press time a bit too long though)
            - Long press to skip ( as it is now)

I find it a bit too long to skip the lineups It doesn’t need to be that long to prevent our quick X habits ;-) . I prefer a long skip though than nothing at all. It’s a good start.
