This means, between Human and CPU thats 0.96 HRs per game on average.
Um...check your math. You just took the average of two teams avg HRs per game and applied it as if that were the correct total of HRs per game for you.

Between you and the CPU there is actually an average of 1.92 HRs per game. Or, according to your research, well within the real life avg HRs per game in MLB.

Edit: I see this was already addressed. Carry on.

I hit 4 HRs with the Mets, scored 14 runs, 11 of them in the 8th inning after feeling sluggish through first 7 innings. So all of a sudden I am mashing the ball and hitting it all over the place....the problem? Its on All-Star....

One might say, great you found your settings.
      No....

      1. I was WAY too good at hitting the ball. That has never been my issue on HoF. I previously mentioned that I am scoring about 5+ runs per game and hitting plenty of extra bases on HoF, HRs has been only issue, so I kinda suspected this would happen on All-Star.

      2. I did not strike out ONCE. To put this into context, I finished the game with Dominic Smith on the mound (first baseman) and I was able to record a strikeout of the CPU with him but their entire pitching staff could not strike me out once! Despite the lopsided score, through the first 7 innings Taillon was cruising and did not K me once.

So this perfectly describes my issue.....

All-Star hitting is too easy, HoF feels perfect EXCEPT for HRs.
I do not think there sliders to remedy the middle ground I am in.

Lowering contact, timing, etc...on All Star potentially breaks the ability to hit well at all.
Bumping up Power on HoF doesn't seem to effect HR numbers, just exit velo.

I just wish that when you put good swings on pitches on HoF that the ball would carry the way it does on All-Star. Good swings are harder to come by in HoF to begin with, but it seems like when you do achieve this the ball simply doesn't carry.

The ball physics seem to be different on the two difficulty levels, respectively. To me this signals SDS is just making the game harder for the sake of making it harder...instead of making the CPU Pitchers smarter and more difficult to hit.

I play on HoF hitting as well. Turning up human power to 7 helps a little with the homerun issue. There is still on occasion that 105+ mph exit velocity with good timing from time to time that somehow dies before the warning track.

The ball physics on many hard hit balls act as though there's tons of top spin which in real life would keep the ball from carrying. Thing is though, at least in my limited baseball experience, balls hit with high exit velocities that also have tons of top spin don't carry deep into the outfield. The combination of exit velocity, launch angle, and ball physics that we're seeing with these laser beams that just hang in the air just isn't realistic. I've seen it at all difficulty levels. 100+ MPH line drives to the warning track that the outfielder just casually jogs down. I started seeing it last year after the big hitting patch that adjusted the PCI and I've accepted at this point it just it what it is.

So despite all the feedback, I still could not do anything by way of the long ball in this game. Everyone is saying be patient, or "I am not seeing this problem", etc....

But I know for a fact something was wrong.....
Turns out it was my TV....

I had the TV on Game Mode, but I also had "Clear Action" turned on, which reduces blur.
That must have introduced some input lag, because in the 3 games I have played since turning it off, I have hit 5, 3 and 4 HRs, respectively in those games. The problem is I never "felt" the lag, but the results were not there, until I changed TV settings.

The biggest change is not only the HRs, but who I am hitting them with.
Up until now I could only hit HRs, it seemed, with power hitters...80+ power guys.

Now I am getting to pitches (FINALLY) with some of the smaller guys. (i.e. Brett Gardner and Cesar Hernandez).

These last 3 games felt like it was supposed to all along!

I will keep going to make sure its not a fluke, but I think that was root of all my problems.
This is all on HoF hitting btw.
Glad you posted this. I was about to post something similar.

My universal profile shows 0.55 HR/G for me and 0.36 for the CPU, but that’s a fairly low sample size with most of it coming before I figured out my TV’s picture settings that worked best for the game (on veteran, no less, because I was getting absolutely nothing done on the higher difficulties).

I moved my PS4 to a projector in a different room right when 19 dropped. Didn’t realize it had settings that would affect game play. It doesn’t have specific game settings, but I think it was the sharpness setting that made a difference. Unlike you, I could definitely feel the lag. Changed that, and suddenly it feels like everything moves slower and smoother, with my inputs feeling totally natural.

It’s only been six games since the change, and I’ve only hit seven homers in those games, but my lineup only has two guys with 70+ power, so I wouldn’t expect to hit a ton.

Dont have any empirical data to back up this summation but i feel that 95% of my homers are hit on off speed pitches. When i crush a hanging breaking ball, i usually get the home run animation and usually pull the ball. Whereas when i crush a fastball its off the wall or in the gap and usually center to opposite field.
