    Difficulty Setting

Just wondering what difficulty setting everyone plays on. Especially in franchise mode. I've always played on veteran but I've been giving all star a try. I have yet to close out a game on all star. Always blowing a lead late and losing the game. Trying to figure out if I should play on one of the default difficulties or give some sliders a try.

      Re: Difficulty Setting

I'm playing on legend with both pitch speed sliders maxed. I'm currently trying out Armor & Sword's slider set which usually gets high praise. His set declares that it's meant for AS and HOF, but so far seems to work just fine on legend as well. It is designed to be used with classic pitching and directional hitting, and I have no idea if other control types will have a negative impact.

u and me both, just like it feels from game to game maybe placebo but I enjoy the difficulty and progression I get from dynamic dynasty.

Ah yes that's another one to consider. I haven't tried dynamic in a long time.

            Re: Difficulty Setting

Currently, in my Detroit Tigers franchise, I am playing at Hall of Fame hitting, and Legend pitching. I am currently 14-1. Thinking about bumping hitting up to Legend as well.

Legend for hitting and pitching with 10 pitch speeds and TNK sliders with my own modifications.

All Star/HOF hitting (bounce back and forth occasionally).

                Legend pitching.

Just who I need to talk to then! I’ve just hopped on board the Dynamic Difficulty train late in 18 and will start off 19 the same way. Do you use Default sliders? Also is it my imagination or have you found it plays differently to the straight levels? For instance in my games there seems to be more CPU offense and lead changes than straight All Star.

Dynamic difficulty guy myself here. Default sliders too for now. I like the idea of the difficulty progression going up or down based on how good or bad I'm hitting/pitching.

                      Pitching - Default Legend (Meter)
Hitting - Default Legend (Zone w/PCI off)

HOF pitching (Meter) and Veteran hitting (Directional). Sad I know, but it's always been that way. I consider myself to be above average when it comes to pitching, but if I go above Vet for hitting, I look like an AL pitcher at the plate every time. I tried All Star, but the new pitch speeds made me look ridiculous.

Dynamic. I am on Hall of Fame+ for hitting. Pitching I am on Legend.

All Star is definitely the best difficulty for hitting if you want a good challenge. You can still hit. I might just change hitting to All Star. I'm not sure, yet.

                            Re: Difficulty Setting

I use Hall of Fame / Meter for pitching and All-Star / Zone for hitting as those give me the most realistic results. Ive been bumping up to HOF for hitting but I’m not consistent enough to use it regularly. Staying on All-Star until it starts to get too easy to pick up hits.

AS hitting and pitching using A&S sliders. Thinking of going w HOF as My pitching has gotten tons better. I changed to Strike Zone for batting and am hitting a lot better just very few homers. I don't use power swing though. I have 3 homers in 6 games, 1 was off contact swing the other off normal.
