Re: Turn off Heidi Watney
I dunno about that last night I was up 4-0 and she was ranting about how my manager was 'flat out' not happy with me swinging out of the zone.
yet in a 0-0 game my manager was 'flat out happy' about my at bats whilst I was getting no hit.
hmmm good reporting indeed she must have got a gold medal in journalism!Comment

Re: Turn off Heidi Watney
Yep, I got it in two games, skipped right thru her quickly, then she came on and nothing. She wouldn't go awayOriginally posted by Jon ArbuckleI still haven't gotten the prompt to skip her while the camera's still on her. Just had two more opportunities and the option wouldn't come up whether I held X down or repeatedly clicked the button. If some people really are occasionally getting it would indeed seem to be glitched.
Gotta be a glitch or they wouldn't have given us the option to quick skip her.

Re: Turn off Heidi Watney
To turn off Heidi Watney ... just be yourself.
Sorry, I'm late to the party; I didn't read this entire thread and that was probably already said...
Yeah, the digital representation of her is pretty mediocre. I mean, it's so poor that it would have been better just to include the audio and not bother with rendering & animating her. And, again, the hair textures are pretty outdated in this game -- her hair looks dried out & frizzy! Get her some Pantene Pro-V! I just try to mash the X button through her yammering until it returns me back to the game.Last edited by iLLWiLL; 04-16-2019, 02:38 PM.Comment

I completely agree with the audio-only Heidi, then you can listen while you play.To turn off Heidi Watney ... just be yourself.

Re: Turn off Heidi Watney
All of the commentary is "flat out" terrible and "flat out" repetitive. I'm "flat out" disappointed that there aren't individual audio sliders and I'm also "flat out" content to turn them all off.Comment

Re: Turn off Heidi Watney
the biggest issue with the commentary and Heidi is they talk to you like a 5 year old
in my 3rd game of the season being 1-1 they went on to tell me about how hard it is to go 162-0 and that it was officially my team wasn't going to go 162-0 and went into detail more about how difficult it is.
I mean come on guys what commentators would actually talk about this after game 3 of the season?? who actually would mention that at all!! it's like they are treating us like 5 year olds
and friggin derossa with his ERA talk.. 3 games played by a pitcher last year and his era is at 6... he goes on to tell us all he had a ERA of 6 last year so he had a bad season!!! for god sake!!! he played 3 games stop with your ERA obsession meaning everything!
the game stats are in the game.. it's too casual. why not took about WAR?? or OBP WHIP>? you know stats that may actually tell the story not ERA and AVGComment

I could imagine a commentator saying its impossible , but I cant see anyone talking about how difficult it would be .the biggest issue with the commentary and Heidi is they talk to you like a 5 year old

what I would have done commentary wise is say winning 70% of your games is difficult . In the history major professional American sports only 1 team has gone undefeated (& untied)from regular season to postLast edited by Caulfield; 04-16-2019, 07:03 PM.OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: Turn off Heidi Watney
it's just... who talks about winning and losing streaks in the first few days of the season?? I mean I have heard them panic and talk about a team that has a 1-2 start how they are in a funk and nothing is going their way and on a losing streak... imagine the 98 Yankees that started 1-4I could imagine a commentator saying its impossible , but I cant see anyone talking about how difficult it would be .

I just cringe so much at the commentary it doesn't help when it's the same lines for the last few yearsComment

Re: Turn off Heidi Watney
Well, to be fair in 98 after that start there was a good deal of talk about what the heck was wrong with the Yankees 'round town. Of course It all seemed silly a few months in to have panicked so early on. then they decided do that darned Macarena bit and went into another slide and we started panicking all over again. It is sort of our life cycle.it's just... who talks about winning and losing streaks in the first few days of the season??
