So the game doesn't know the players it decides on ratings so maybe scea could help the CPU if it creates new ratings like lead off hitter, second hitter etc.

Add Line up ratings for mlb 20
What do you think about this? CPU line up logic annoys me for years since Mlb the show came up... This is the last piece of a puzzle which would give me the opportunity to only pick one team. Until now I don't even realize how CPU decide to create their line ups. The only thing I could recognize is that the best overall hitter is in 3 spot and the best power hitter in 4 spot. The leadoff hitter seems to be a fast guy who is a decent hitter but if he is to good he will be a second oder third. These seems to be an old thinking how line ups are created nowadays. And players like altuve or trout are always be on third spot. And players for example who get often on base with base on balls but are slow or not good hitters would never lead off ,also they do in real life.

Re: Add Line up ratings for mlb 20
I think this is a great idea. Each player would have a rating (1-9), which the cpu could use to determine a batting order. With two guys having the same rating the cpu can move to other attributes to decide like it does now.
Likewise, pitchers should also have attributes that are similar. They need to get rid of the CP as a position and assign everyone either SP or RP, then a secondary attribute of LRP, MRP, setup, left/right-hand specialist, or CP to help the cpu assign bullpen usage and position.
