This is extremely annoying in times where there’s a runner on first and a ball is hit into the gap. A 50 speed runner on first shouldn’t be able to easily score off a 92 speed center fielder on a hard line drive into the gap.

No urgency from outfielders on a ball off the wall?
I’ve noticed a few games into my franchise that on balls off the wall, outfielders are lazy on their throws back into the infield. Once grabbing it off the wall, they do a kind of double-clutch animation and throw it softly.

I have noticed this as well. Lack of urgency in a few other areas too. I don't know if a recent update messed up the fielding back to the way it was last year, or what is going on. -

Yeah there’s also an issue with a ball hit down the line with the corner outfielders chasing it. They do a jog as they watch the ball roll all the way to the wall. I know I’ve seen this reported in another thread, but I never noticed this ball off the wall issue until today.
It’s like when they get the ball, they assume the hitter automatically has second base, and any other runners are going to score. I can count at least two times in total in my two games today where a runner could have easily been thrown out but wasn’t due to this. Matty V even said, “And he completely ignores the stop sign!” and that’s because my outfielder was lazy to get it back into the infield on a hard hit ball off the wall and allowed him to easily score.
Really hoping for an update soon that fixes this.Comment

Well there was a glitch in 18 for outfielders to go into slow montion jogs. It was patched a month or two after release to correct it.
I wonder if there is an animation glitch happening this year as well.Comment
