MLB 12 is still my favorite and I played about three franchise seasons, (140+ games/season). Played like butter, graphics were great, gameplay and defence worked and it was the last time you could fantasy draft and CPU roster management worked from March 31. Very little reworking had to be done other than nitpicky stuff.

Yup 12 was a fantastic game. I can’t think of any issues with that one. 11 was before the dynamic gameplay, 13 had the rounding 3rd glitch where runnerss slowed down. 14 was pretty good. Never played 15 through 17. 18 is fantastic. For 19 I keep hearing about framerate issues.

I'll have to go with '19 due to the gameplay enhancements, presentation changes, added animations, hit variety, ...etc other stuff x 50, but the framerate, flickering white chalk lines/stadium graphics are quite annoying and are a shame that tarnish the overall polish of the game...it's hard to get past it at times because the latest released version took a step back in this regard for the last two points i made

19 Just for the best ever gameplay even though it does look rough at times. The CPU pitching alone has made it worth the price of entry. I dominated with JD last year always knowing the bad ball would come. This year the CPU is more than happy to pitch around him to the point where I’m just looking for contact to move runners instead of the long ball.

For sure 19. It has it's flaws, but it's still the best on the field experience so far.

There is one major bug for carry over players that's putting a real dampener on the experience. Tons of pitchers are now two way players for no reason. The worst part is the CPU plays them in the field. I'm getting easy wins thanks to this bug. There is a work around, but I always forget to do it.

I took an easy series against the Rays because they skipped their top two pitchers in their rotation in order to put them in the field. It's a maddening bug that's really spoiling an otherwise fantastic game.

I think 19 is the best the series has ever been. The only things I wish we could get back are real time presentation (like how about letting the catcher throw the ball back to the pitcher ffs) & the stuff countryboy mentioned - owner mode, basically. Other than that there’s nothing about any previous version I think is better than what 19’s got going on.

MLB the Show 19! I'm having more fun than ever! They really nailed the hitting this year I think. I only play online rated games though so my experience is limited.

It doesn't show up in every carryover save though, at least it hasn't shown up in mine.

My carryover is from '16 and I play as the Cardinals. My first series of the year was against the Mariners in Seattle and I didn't experience the bug. It also hasn't effected simmed games.

I'm not sure what the culprit is, whether it be the year from which your carryover started or if playing as an AL team versus a NL team.

It's been out of the game for a few years now.

How does the ball get back to the pitcher then?

Edit: I just watched a Youtube video from MLB 17 and 18, and the ball is throw back to the pitcher various times

The catcher starts to throw and then the game cuts to the pitcher having the ball and selecting his pitch.

There are times when the plays out the catcher throwing the ball back to the pitcher but not every time.

Good to know it isn't all carryover's, but it will be interesting to see if it is ever addressed in a patch.
