Rule verification

Before I complain about the game, I want to verify a rule. Here's what happened.

Game tied, 5-5, bottom of the 9th. Bases loaded. Batter hits a HR. Batter gets credit for a single.

Here's my question. Does the rule say that HRs are reduced to a single if the go ahead run from 3rd comes in? I know doubles and triples get reduced, but I always thought HRs counted. I imagine a real life player would be a bit upset to have a HR wiped out, especially a slam..

Maybe I'm wrong though?

Yah it should count as a HR with 4 RBI's

Did the batter actually run around, touch every base and cross the plate? If he was mobbed before doing so, it isn’t a home run. Ask Robin Ventura. He hit a walk off grand slam in the playoffs for the Mets. He never crossed the plate so it was reduced to a walk off single.

Their stat tracking for game winning hits has been pretty bad for a few years. I don't know how many times in 18 I got a walk off hit and the game gives my hitter an out for the AB with no RBI.

This actually was a rule way back in the day. You couldn’t hit a walk off HR with a person on base. They’d give you whatever base was necessary to bring the winning run in
