I've been using everything but analog, wasn't giving up walks at all, tried analog today, giving up walks is not a problem anymore, analog is tough.

I use meter but I never watch the meter, I just watch the pitcher's release point to judge.

MLB 2K's pitching interface was the best hands down.

I remember in pressure situations trying to get the pitching pattern perfectly, sometimes for the critical out - it was such a rewarding feeling, and sometimes choking and sending one right down the middle.

No interface has come close (IMO) to matching this tense feeling. I wish The Show would incorporate this in their game....

The OP never specifically said this poll was limited to just The Show

Honestly, I loved 2k10's and 11's where you had to move the stick in a certain direction after filling the meter. Obviously it was a bit flawed as sometimes it didn't register your movements correctly, but other than that it was quite fun.

2K8's was the same, no? They had the third dimension of needing to release the stick to pinpoint accuracy.

The issue with that game started with the hitting, specifically the meatball thing. Pitching, however, was very good for its time. People complained about that releasing aspect of it, and in 2K9 it was sadly removed.

Ah, that does look similar. I didn't play any of the series until 10, so I was unaware.

My favorite in the MLB the Show 19 is pitching in PS4 VR with the Sony VR Ball™. The only bad thing is i have destroyed 3 TV's, a mirror, several vases, and the wall behind my television looks like cheddar cheese. I finally spent the money on the Ball with the Rubber Band™ attached but now I've gone through 4 VR headsets and been to the hospital 3 times.

After this franchise I'm going back to meter until they get it right.

I think I will. Because this is a clear violation of my rights as a consumer. It's outrageous, egregious, preposterous!

I definitely recommend to everyone to find either an alternative pitching or hitting scheme to use one game a week and also an alternative batting cam for once a week use . I'm a big believer in trying things outside your comfort zone . except chitlins . its okay to hate chitlins w/o ever having tried them lol

Classic. Strike zone off, ball marker off, and vibration off. It can be an adventure at times.

I love the meter. Reminds me of MVP baseball. I wish they'd take one more thing from MVP and that's the flash of color right as the ball leaves the pitchers hand... Denoting whether it's a fastball, breaking ball and the like. That was the only game I remember playing that had that in it. It's been 15 (almost) years... They need to add that in and it would help hitting a tremendous amount.

It seems this year the meter is a tick faster than last years. Last year I'd hit the line maybe 70% or so of the time. This year I'm well below that number

I also use the classic fade when pitching... I prefer it to the long line and the other ways they use to get the ball over the zone.
