    Throwing Meter - Button Setting

Does anybody else have this issue?

I use the button setting for throw power, which in previous iterations of the game allowed you to choose the power of throws after fielding a ball. Holding a button would cause a hard throw, tapping it would cause a soft throw.

This year though, every throw is full power when I use the "button" setting.. No matter if I hold or tap a button to throw it to a base/cutoff, it's full power every time.

I'm assuming I'm doing something incorrectly, but it might be bug.

I know there is a setting that let's the time the button is held down control the power of the throw. Not home now but check the fielding settings. I think you will find what you are looking for there.

I'll double check when I get home too, but I think I have the settings correct. It should just work as designed when the throw meter setting is set to "button"

This is likely due to the new dynamic fielding setup. If a player is slow the fielder will take their time and get a good throw out if its a speedster they will try to get it out faster. They added it to cut down on the slow fielding animations that caused the throws to seem lethargic. I also use buttons with show meter and its honestly better if you just turned off show throwing meter. plus side the fielders attributes really come into play now strength and accuracy matter way more than previous games

With buttons are you referring to the arrows underneath the fielder when throwing?

You have no control over strength of throw, even if you pick meter fielding.
You only have control over accuracy

Think there is an option for button accuracy that is pressure senstive based configuration.

Correct - I always thought that was for power is that not what they represent?

It was my understanding that it was for power which in turn affected accuracy.

For me the arrows at the bottom will always display three no matter if I tap the button or hold the button for max power.

                  I submitted a bug report.

Thanks for confirming - Good to know I'm not the only one experiencing this, thought I was doing something wrong.

                      No problem man.

It's annoying to say the least.
