Changing Franchise Contract Amounts at Start

First, while I have played MLB the show for many years, I played exclusively RTTS until last year when I played Diamond Dynasty instead. However, this year I became disillusioned with Diamond Dynasty and am instead trying to play a Season within Franchise.

I created a team of old time players by editting minor league players and then imported them over the MLB players on one of the MLB teams. However, having done that my problem is that all these imported players are unhappy that they are paid so little. I tried editing the contract amounts in the roster and then started a new franchise, but the players still had the low contract prices. I am only interested in playing a season, but do not want bad morale due to low pay to lower my teams performance.

My question is this: Is there any way to adjust up the contract amounts at the very beginning of my franchise? It would be ideal if I could adjust them all at the start so they will not be an issue later in the season, or am I stuck with the original amounts the minor league players had before I edited them into other players.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

you cant edit contracts after you go into franchise . that has to be done on the front end before you go into franchise .

I editting the contract amounts in the roster before using that roster to start a franchise. Should then the contracts in franchise have the new amounts? Mine seemed to be the old amounts.

I have found that if a player is on a 1 year deal that you can't add multiple years to it.

          What I mean is:

Player A has a 1 year, 100k deal. I change it to 5 years for 40 million. You would think it goes to 8m per year in franchise. I end up seeing it as 100k on year one then the 39.9m remaining split over 4 years.

Not sure if this is what is happening to you but make the contract a 1 year only if you haven't. Only seems to be an issue with imported players from my experience.

          Hope that helps.

I did change all the contracts to one year and upped the contract amounts. It is working for now, though my intent is to play just as a season and play all the games so morale is just a big inconvenience.

It seems to be working now though. We will see.

I'm having this issue. Player has only 50K contract and I'm trying to make it 600K but it's not changing. I go into edit player and it says 600K for 1 year but I start up my franchise and it says 50K. This is frustrating that it's not sticking.

Maybe try adding them to the 40 man if you haven't. Not sure if you did that but that may help.
