MLB Team Uniform Schedules

I know there are lots of people looking to be as realistic as possible in Franchises and RTTS games. So, I compiled this list of when teams wear each uniform to help out. Please let me know about any mistakes/additions/suggestions.

*Note* many teams (Mets, A’s, White Sox, Rangers etc.) let starting pitchers choose uniforms. When it says a jersey is worn randomly, that usually means the SP chooses.


AL East:

BAL
Orange: all Saturdays
Black (with alt O's hat): all Fridays

BOS
Blue: road Fridays
Red: home Fridays
Blue jerseys are worn occasionally on random road games

NYY
White home and Gray road only

TB
Sky Blue (with devil ray hat): home Sundays
Navy Blue: road Sundays (and other random home and road games)
Devil Ray throwback: select home Saturdays

TOR
Blue alt: random home and road games
white panel cap: random home
red alts: July 1st and 4th

AL Central:

CWS
Black alts: very often on road and occasionally at home
1983 throwbacks (w/ throwback SOX hat): Sunday home games

CLE
red alts: random home games
blue alts: random road games

DET
White and Gray only

KC
white with gold numbers and gold trim hat: Friday home
sky blue: home day games
royal blue: road day games

MIN
navy Twins jersey: home Saturdays + random Home games
navy Minnesota jersey: random Road games
Red TC jersey (with red hat): All Friday home + random Home games


AL West

Red: random home and road games

Kelly green: Friday home
Dark green: Random road
Yellow: no longer worn

Cream throwback: Sunday home
Teal (w/ teal brim hat): Friday home
Navy: random road (very occasionally home)

MLB Team Uniform Schedules

Mets and A’s have the starting pitcher pick their jersey, the blue (Mets) and yellow (A’s) jersey are still there, just haven’t been worn yet. Syndergaard and Wheeler are the only pitchers who like the blues. A’s used to wear the yellow more when they had Gray and Graveman starts.

Giants wear the black jersey for home Saturday night games, not Sat day games.

Blue Nats script was worn for Tuesday home games last year. They’ve only had 2 Tues home games this year (one was Jackie Robinson Day) and haven’t worn them yet.

Padres im guessing they still have the brown camo but just opted for blue for Sunday home games. Maybe because it’s their final year as a blue team and are getting their final goodbyes.

EDIT: the Phillies powder blue jerseys are for Throwback Thursday, every home Thurs game.

If it helps, the Rangers uniforms are chosen by the starting pitcher.

The Red Sox definitely don't wear their colored jerseys any time other than Fridays, with the exception of last year's World Series.

Uniformlineup.com also has good uniform tracking that goes back to 2012. Once April ends they’ll post the uniforms so far for this year too.

Their Friday game was postponed. And they wore the reds for Game 2 of a doubleheader, and they've gone navy a couple times more than usual.

So sure, I guess occasional fits. But it definitely isn't a common thing to stray from Fridays only.

That throwback is correct with random home weekend games, but its its also used every Friday home game.

I have no idea. They wore navy on a Saturday against Seattle (Eduardo Rodriguez start) after wearing navy that Friday, they wore navy against Tampa's light blue on a Sunday (Price start), and they went red in the doubleheader on Tuesday (Sale start).

Thank you everyone for the help! I just edited the original post with many of your updates.

A few things:

Random usually means chosen by SP or team captain or something. It just means not worn on a specific day or time.

I know about sportslogos.net and uniformlineup.com, in fact those were instrumental in my original post. This is meant to be a compilation of that info in one easy place for people to find.

Thanks to your feedback, I updated the Giants, Nats, Mets, A’s, Red Sox, Padres, Brewers and Phillies. Please let me know about any more corrections! Thanks everyone

A’s dark green is also random home (in addition to road)

Mariners have worn navy jersey at home before but it’s a very rare occurrence.
