Hi all, I'm trying to do a little research but I need some assurance to prove or disprove my theory. Humor me if you will and post the Team Standings screen that shows your Team ERA and Team average. Here's mine and my friends, both on default legend:

Not currently at home, but when I looked last night:

Average: .246 (16th)
ERA: 3.94 (12th)

Playing on HOF with Armor's sliders.

ERA 3.77 *11th

AS v. AS, default sliders (exept pitch speed down 2- eyesight)

I'd really be surprised if any semblance of consensus were found. I'd expect ERA to range anywhere from less than 3 to more than 6, same with batting average. Personal user skill , playing on every level from legend to veteran and every where between . I just dont expect everybody have high ERAs and low batting averages.

That 30th in pitching but still managing a sub-4 ERA bugs me, but, 3.90 is only good for 17th in the majors, and I also think it’s not a cumulative stat - i.e., I have a bunch of guys with high ERAs in the minors now, if I brought them all back up it would balloon my team ERA, correct me if I’m wrong.

I will try to get a picture up later......

But currently playing on Legend difficulty (bumped up from Hall of Fame after 30 games) through 55 games...

AVG=.303
ERA=3.05

This is with the Detroit Tigers.

I don't know what it is either.

You asked if he was trying to prove/confirm something and I was answering that he has a theory he's working on.

Default legend hitting
.265 avg

Legend pitching is where it can get funny. Modified sliders with cpu contact/power/timing down a click..
3.15 era

Default legend pitching......passed balls, silly errors, unbelievable plate discipline by the cpu,pitchers are a legit threat to hit, and way too much solid contact by the cpu overall. Keeping the cpu under 10 runs 20 hits is a success.
6.00 to 7.00 era

Started my franchise 16 and 9 with those modified sliders, but felt the cpu offense was way too limited. Went back to default legend and have now lost 5 straight. Will continue on default legend for the "challenge"

Sorry no screenshots.

Hitting on all star with the Blue Jays my team avg. is .290

My team ERA. Is 3.96 pitching on all star and sometimes bumping up to HOF.

Only slider adjustment is human timing up 2 ticks....because I’m old

Legend default 16 games in, zone hitting

2.53 ERA

OP is going to have a heart attack when I post my screenshots LMAO. I know my numbers in the past franchises for my team have been bonkers and I know OP has seen my thread about the GOAT single season in your franchise where I posted my stats on Griffey, Jr and Scherzer.

I am not doing franchise, yet, but I will soon. I hope no mods close this thread. I want to see what others are doing to compare. It's a good idea, in my opinion. I don't care what the theory is. I like to see how others are doing in this game.
