Throwing Meter Help

I previously always used to button accuracy throw meter in my franchise, but I find its too easy to make sure my throw is dead on accurate every throw with even fielder's that have poor arm accuracy. I'm trying the button throw meter w/throw meter on, but I don't see any indicator of how hard I'm throwing. I understand the longer I hold the button the harder the throw and less accurate it will be, but previous years there would be an indicator below the player letting you know how hard you're throwing it. This year there are 3 triangles no matter if I tap the button or hold it down for max throw strength.

How do I get this strength meter to show? My current settings are:

Throwing Interface: Buttons
Throwing Meter: On

Am I missing something that the strength meter isn't properly displaying?

You only get that with analog throwing I believe..?
