This game is due for a slider overhaul.

While we've seen some additions over the years, it's been too long with generally the same set.

They would be wise to look at the 2K series for some ideas. For one, there needs to be separate sliders for simmed games. Because there are not, the injury slider is rendered useless for many...if you want more injuries in your actual games, you increase it, but then the simmed games see even more, when those teams already outpaced your team's injuries. Sim-game sliders would allow some minor problems in the sim engine to be adjusted as well.

Any rating which has effect in the game should be tied to sliders for human and cpu..which they pretty much have right now but there are some omissions...for example, there is no way to effect cpu plate discipline and there are no sliders for bunting behavior.

There should also be a bunt frequency slider (two - one for sac bunts and another for drag bunts).

Another slider idea is a "miss in/miss out" slider...this would effect whether your missed pitches go inside the zone or outside the zone.

Perhaps even ground ball/fly ball sliders...also, a separate slider for catcher throwing strength and accuracy seems warranted. Could help those have problems with base stealing.

Sliders for a.i. bullpen management would help...influencing more even rotations vs. selections based more on matchups.

I'm sure you guys can think of more, these are just a few, but I think this may help at least some of the problems we're seeing.

I was glad when they separated infield and outfield throwing errors (I guess that was the last addition?) now I'd like to see infield and outfield reaction sliders. theres a couple others I had in mind awhile back but they escape me at the moment

It’d be nice if each team had a managerial slider set. Then you could adjust how each team is managed separately. Adjust shift frequency, bullpen usage etc.

This game needs a competition overhaul. As in another company making a baseball game.

I said this earlier in another thread, I figure any competition that comes along is going after the same thing Sony is, microtransaction market. and when competition like RBI comes along, it cant compete. If EA came into the picture you know their focus would be a baseball mut. same for 2k. at this point the best hope would be a kickstarter game crowd-funded by what the public investors want in the game and not a faceless corporation

Yup, microtransactions are the future because, like the saying goes, nobody has ever gone broke banking on the stupidity of the public.

It's time to reaffirm my love for OOTP. Seems that's where my baseball gaming money will be heading back to shortly. I'm colossally disappointed in this year's game. We've still got legacy issues that date back multiple iterations (lack of starter stamina gains, lack of blocked balls causing big WP numbers, etc.) and now a game breaking pitcher hitting bug.

I don't know of many crowd funded things that made millions of dollars.
