    Relief pitcher injuries.

Are you guys ever seeing any injuries to relief pitchers? I don't know if I've ever seen one in the many years that I've played The Show. Every year it seems like I play pretty much the entire 162 games with the same bullpen as most of them don't do bad enough to warrant getting sent down and there's never any injured.

I lost Rizzo for the entire year with a dislocated ankle earlier this season so I'm nervous to bump the injury slider any higher than where I have it right now, which is 6. But I'm curious if I'm just lucky or if for some reason relief pitchers are just unlikely to get injured.

I'd love it if injuries were revamped completely. I still don't know why the animations that used to be in the game were taken out where it showed the player being helped off the field. As much as I hate Heidi Watney, this would be a good use for her. Player goes out with an injury, she gives an update a few innings later.

The next game she could give more specific information as to how long the player is to be out and the nature of the injury.

    Re: Relief pitcher injuries.

    Well, a couple things ....

    1) I can’t say for sure if I’ve lost a RP to injury. You could be onto something.

    2) I have injuries at 10 (have all season) and it’s not a big deal; I believe there’s a cap on injuries due to the limited number of organizational roster spots, so you’re never gonna lose like 10 guys off your MLB club for instance.

    3) You’re right that injures could use some reworking; for years and years I’ve basically just manipulated injuries the way I see fit - putting guys on the 10-day when they were only out a couple days, removing season-ending injuries because screw that, etc. So long as there’s a decent variety to my lineup and staff month to month I don’t really care how it’s achieved.

    Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.

I've had relief pitchers get injured. I had Adam Cimber on the IL earlier as well as Tyler Lyons and Dean Kiekhefer.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

What is your injury slider set to?

          It's at 8.

Sorry meant to add that to the original post.

Going to give that a run. I'll probably suffer a crazy injury first game and think it's too high. Haha.

Do you leave it at 8 even when simming? That's the thing with Armor's injury slider, he has it at 9 for played games and 6 for simmed games. I just know I'll forget to change it from time to time.

              Yes

I don’t see where the cpu suffers anymore injuries in simmed games than I do actually playing

Definitely don't leave the slider up when simming, you will destroy the game. I simmed through an entire month at injuries=9 (A&S sliders) and half the league had broken their ankles or suffered horrendous shoulder problems.

Fortunately it was spring training so I just restarted the franchise and reset the injury slider

I lost Seranthony Dominguez and Vince Velasquez for 1-2 weeks in the same game in the 3rd game of the season.

9 for games played and 6 for sim. Exactly how Armor has it.
