    Help!! I'm winning too much!

So I love Franchise Mode and specifically tearing a team down and rebuilding them with my own draftees and traded for prospects. Usually, the first few seasons are spent being awful and trading away my stars/vets/above average performing players. This version is the Tigers.

I fully expected to be no better than second place, well below .500 and several games behind the Indians. However, in May I went 20-5 and have won 11 straight to take a commanding 9 game lead over the tribe in mid June!

I was hoping to deal some vets but now I might actually have to be buyers at the deadline! Anyone else ever have this dilemma?

I often think that I have my difficulty settings to low and that I win too much. Then I play the game drunk and I lose. Then I play with a team I'm unfamiliar with and I lose.

I've done it before in other sports games, taken a clunker of a team and ran away with it, even as I fail with much higher rated teams on the same settings. It's why finding the right settings and sliders for you can be so difficult in sports games.

Long story short, trust your gut.

Since June 1st I've gone 21-28 and are now in a tie with Cleveland for first at the deadline. I'm in trade deadline purgatory: I can't get rid of stars and I can't go all in. LOL, what a world, the Tigers are contenders with the current rosters!

I don't know what difficulty or sliders you're using, but on HOF with A&S I've had a really interesting first two months with the Padres. I started out on fire, going about 10-12 games above .500. Then May came and I've had a run of cold bats like you wouldn't believe, batting second to last in the entire league.

Bottomline, this game does a masterful job of simulating the ups and downs of a regular season. I wouldn't worry about winning "too many" games unless it has gotten to the point where you don't even feel challenged anymore. Then, it might be time for a difficulty change+new franchise.

are you playing the games or simming? If playing, then you'll likely go through personal slumps, and if you are playing on dynamic difficulty, the game will make sure that you start to lose.

if you are simming, I've found that the game will put you through ridiculous streaks one way or the other.

all that to say, just keep on plugging away with the season. It'll even out.

I'm simming. The first season or two of a rebuild are sims for me so that I can get to the draft, trade deadline and free agency. At the deadline I'm tied for first and am looking into make some minor deals without giving up too much. I'd love to entice someone with Daniel Norris because in all of my franchises I've never seen him have an ERA below 5.

This is just something new for me. I usually take over teams that are so bad they have months of 5-20 not 20-5.

This applies to any mode even if you are locked in with a difficulty setting, believe me.
