    Feature to Protest Games

I really need this feature lol.

I was getting absolutely HOSED by Joe MacDonald in Miami as the G-Men. Wound up losing 3-2 thanks to an MLB: The Show fielding moment that allowed a blooper to get by Forsythe in RF for a ribbie triple in the 8th (didn’t even try to field it, he just ran right past the ball that was on the ground)

I got no calls at all my way. Meanwhile I struck out looking 6 times on pitches easily out of the zone.

If I was I coach I would’ve done been ejected by the 4th by how bad MacDonald’s strike zone was for us.

Protesting a game is not something used because of a terrible strike zone. It's mainly for a rule that was misinterpreted by the umpire(s), such as Sam Holbrook thinking an infield fly can be called on a ball way in the outfield.

      From MLB.com:

An INFIELD FLY is a fair fly ball (not including a line drive nor an attempted bunt) which can be caught by an infielder with ordinary effort, when first and second, orfirst, second and third bases are occupied, before two are out. The pitcher, catcher and any outfielder who stations himself in the infield on the play shall be considered infielders for the purpose of this rule.
When it seems apparent that a batted ball will be an Infield Fly, the umpire shall immediately declare "Infield Fly" for the benefit of the runners. If the ball is near thebaselines, the umpire shall declare "Infield Fly, if Fair."The ball is alive and runners may advance at the risk of the ball being caught, or retouch and advance after the ball is touched, the same as on any fly ball. If the hitbecomes a foul ball, it is treated the same as any foul.If a declared Infield Fly is allowed to fall untouched to the ground, and bounces foul before passing first or third base, it is a foul ball. If a declared Infield Fly fallsuntouched to the ground outside the baseline, and bounces fair before passing first or third base, it is an Infield Fly.

Rule 2.00 (Infield Fly) Comment: On the infield fly rule the umpire is to rule whether the ball could ordinarily have been handled by an infielder-not by some arbitrary limitation such as the grass, or the base lines. The umpire must rule also that a ball is an infield fly, even if handled by an outfielder, if, in the umpire's judgment, the ball could have been as easily handled by an infielder. Theinfield fly is in no sense to be considered an appeal play. The umpire's judgment must govern, and thedecision should be made immediately.

When an infield fly rule is called, runners may advance at their own risk. If on an infield fly rule, the infielder intentionally drops a fair ball, the ball remains in play despite the provisions of Rule 6.05(l). The infield fly rule takes precedence.

Yea, no. There's no way this should have been an infield fly.

He was there, ordinary effort, infield fly. I'm fine with the call.

This was not meant to be taken seriously lol. I know what protesting games is for.

I just think it would be a fun screw around feature to add for craps and giggles when you’re getting hosed by the AI

I figured you understood protest procedures.

What I'd love to see (though the PA won't allow it I'm sure) are guys getting tossed for arguing. At least in 17, there are a number of animations where the guy takes a called third strike and pounds the bat and looks back at the ump; or the pitcher thinks he got the corner and mumbles to himself about not getting the call. Considering they limit the positions new players in the league could have as primary and secondary (whereas official rosters may show a guy as a true utility man), couldn't they come up with a way to flag non-MLBPA players as eligible for arguing, getting tossed, throwing the ball over the centerfield wall when getting pulled, etc.

Didnt madden have a rewind feature a few years back where you could take a mulligan? Maybe instead of protesting a game you could rewind it. And if you didn't trust yourself to temptation, you could turn rewinds off before entering franchise if you chose

Fifa has an unlockable to replay career mode games; You're correct for Madden 12 there is a replay game option (don't know about now) after the game ends. i know because I accidentally screwed the Chargers out of a playoff spot a few years ago. They won a game I played out then instead of hitting exit I hit replay and walked away for something (probably another beer) and came back to see the game restarted. So I played it out and they lost. I know, I know alot of things happen in the video game world so that weeks later things could have been different but in the end they missed out of the playoffs losing a tie breaker when by rights and sobriety they would have had one more win.
