    Shutouts and flip-flop scorelines

I'm 7-12 with four shutouts for May - in short, an abysmal month. Some games are really lopsided while others go down to the wire. I'm not worried about the flip-flop results (that's just baseball), I'm worried about the accuracy of results.

I haven't checked but my guess is a team being shutout 4+ times in one month is probably rare to never. My hitting isn't great with the Padres but it isn't horrible either. Ironically our ERA is one of the top in the league, in fact we even got a no-hitter. The first in Padres' history.

It's difficult to put my finger on it but it feels like more than just a "bad month", it feels like a balancing mechanism within The Show that throws odd results. Anyone else struggling with games feeling almost "scripted?". A&S sliders btw.

Games aren't scripted. The easiest way to see that is either bump your difficulty up one or down one.

Last year Miami was shutout 4 times in April, 3 times in May & September.

I know, it's cringe to even say it but I really do think there is a balancing mechanism at work. Sometimes it just feels like generating runs is a tilted board.

Thanks for telling me about the Marlins by the way. Makes me feel better about sucking

Jays got up 6-0 against Tampa last night. Lost 7-6 on a passed ball in extras.

Last week, they were down by 6, and came back to win.

        Baseball...it's crazy.

As Caulfield said, change the difficulty. I started with Dynamic, found a sweet spot with Armor's sliders, and stuck with that level. Much more fun.

lol, let's not misconstrue the concern - I don't care about bad beats late in the game, I care about balancing mechanisms that tilt unrealistic results (like being shutout game after game and then getting a no hitter).

I'd much rather lose to wild pitches in extras than get shutout five times in a month. Difficulty is fine btw.

Sorry, that wasn't meant as a "sToP bEiN bAd!" post, it was more of a "here's a suggestion of a good way to fix it!"

Just because the sliders work for some, it doesn't mean that they work for everyone. If you're set on your difficulty level, and slider set, there's not much that anyone here can do to help, other than say "Hold in there! Be patient and wait for your pitch!". I know that 99% of my problem offensively is that I start swinging early in the count, which is when the weak contact comes out. If I'm patient, and wait for my pitch late in the count, I have a heck of a lot more success.
