Auto or manual baserunning?
Do you use guess pitch?I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

This has been a legacy issue for years. They also constantly dive back to a base on balls in the dirt too. Baserunning logic as a whole needs a retooling when the cpu is involved.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: Players Diving back to the base !
I use manual and never have experienced this issue myself which is why I was inquiring which method of base running you were using to see if possibly it was user error, tied to auto baserunning, or if, since the topic is being re-visited, see if we could find a possible cause to pass along to devs.
My apologies for trying to help and assist.

Re: Players Diving back to the base !
Unfortunately baserunning is tuned for online play, and there is nothing you can do to change that. It's why your runner will always be sluggish changing directions on the basepaths, no matter how good they should be. It's too prevent online cheese, but it honestly causes a lot of problems for offline players.

Re: Players Diving back to the base !
I know what you mean. I was playing DD, had Gwynn on 2nd and Yelich hit a bloop single, Gwynn was halfway between 2nd and 3rd, and even though the ball dipped in, he went back to second base. I've had it happen on a number of occasions... I use manual running, but if he's going halfway, I shouldn't have to tell him to go to third... No clue why they're diving backwards when the obvious move is to move from base to base.Commissioner of the Donkey Punch Sports Leagues -,

Re: Players Diving back to the base !
It is the Christian Yelich effect. During the playoffs last year he did that on what should have been a hit for Ryan Braun. Yelich was out at second even though the ball reached the outfield and what should have been a hit was instead a fielders choice.
