Maybe it's just me, but I've noticed that when hitting a ball right up the middle AT the pitcher, they're more prone to snatching it out of the air on a liner?
Usually the ball had been hitting the pitcher and taking odd glances off the man on the mound. But I've had several hits on a rope go up the middle, and the pitcher just snatches it. Walker Buehler did it to me twice in one game... They don't look like defensive animations in replay, they do look like the pitcher just gets his glove up in the millisecond from barrel to mitt.
Like I said, maybe it's just me, because I have seen pitchers throw the glove out before, or behind them to try and knock it down. I could just be having a run of bad luck. Just seems like it's happening a lot more frequently than it had.
