We’re having 2 issues with attendance now. BTW it’s used to work before.

- Current attendance announced in the game and what you see in the game log doesn’t match. I don’t understand why this discrepancy.

- Attendance in a blow-out by example stays the same. It sounds like people are not leaving when local team is just blasted by the visitors. It used to work before too but I’m wondering if it’s a bug or something MLB didn’t want to see anymore.

I found out the latest issue in a recent games against Chicago WS. Won a game 15-3 .... was leading 10-1 after 5 innings. At the end of the game i decided to check with the replay vault (look at the outs for one of the team and switch between left pad- right pad to see first and last out of 1st and 9th inning). I was a bit upset to find out anywhere in the stadium the same people were still sitting at the same spot. No one missing.

That was a neat feature introduced few years ago. Don’t know what happened. Anybody found out the same thing ?

the Attendance issue has been in the game since it released. i remember someone talking about it on release day.

I'm not sure if this is related, but I go to a lot of local minor league games in real life and just like in the game the announcer will say...tonight's paid attendance is xxx , and I know for a fact that the amount of people at the game isn't even remotely close to what the announcer says. The amount of tickets sold and the amount of people that actually show up are two totally different things.



As far as the game goes, I could've swore I've seen the crowd lessen towards the end but maybe I'm mistaken.

Another serious issue with attendance. At Tropicana field, half full all game, all of a sudden in 8th, almost empty sections filled out !!

I don’t understand, all this stuff used to work fine in previous year. Now everything around attendance seems to be broken and after 20 patches...nothing fixed :-(

Is it only happening at Tropicana Field?

I just played a game against the Reds in Cincinnati where the stadium was maybe 50% capacity at the start of the game and by the 7th inning it was significantly less as I was blowing them out 10-1.

I played 2 more games in Cincinnati and didn’t see the stadium increase attendance in later innings

I have no issues with attendance in the game, it seems very accurate in my eyes. My only issue is that when its raining people seem to not care about it and just hang around in their seats like nothing is happening.

Interesting,thx for checking , maybe it's some stadiums only. Next time I'll try to put a short video. I'm using replay vault for outs of one of the team, then i zoom on one part of the stadium and then flipping through all the outs.

I'll check on other stadiums if same stuff happening as in Chicago !!

They did mention last year I think it was, that it takes some time for the seats to fill out in certain stadiums, simulating traffic and people getting off from work or whatnot. Specifically I remember them talking about Dodger Stadium.

Ils ont mentionné l'année dernière, je pense que c'était le cas, il faut un certain temps pour que les sièges se remplissent dans certains stades, simulant le trafic et les personnes quittant leur travail ou quoi que ce soit d'autre. Plus précisément, je me souviens d’avoir parlé du Dodger Stadium.

I can state that the issue isn't happening in Great American Ballpark nor Citizens Bank Park.

With the white sox, I'm in first place in Sept and still only drawing low 20,000 sometimes lower. Kind of a bummer. I know generally speaking they don't draw well but when they are good attendance always picks up. Alas the game doesn't do it.

Had a rain game where in the 5th inning the game was delayed 45 mins... attendance notably dropped when action picked back up again which i thought was pretty cool.
