Roster edit tool: Reward
I’m looking to get a roster edit tool created, similar to the one that was out for madden and 2k back on the ps3. If anybody could develop one of these, I’d be willing to pay them for their time. I’ve been trying to get some app and game developers to do it but they’re unfamiliar with the PS4 platform, so was hoping to have better luck here. You can release it to the community, sell it, whatever, but I’ll pay good money to have it done.Tags: None -

yeah , I think a lot of people would chip in , myself included , but I dont think anyone has broken the encryption on ANY ps4 game . maybe when the ps5 comes out , maybe someone with connections to Sony will leak that code . we'll seeOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

I’ve seen some places where it looks like they have broken some of them, similar to what savewizard must have. I was able to somewhat alter the data on a save using a decryption tool from a soccer game for PS4, but I don’t know wth I’m doing beyond that point, so I just need somebody who can decipher it all. I think I have a general direction and the pieces, I just need somebody who knows how to put it together. I’d drop a $1500 reward for whoever can figure it outComment

I'd also pitch in some cash because this would simplify a lot of things I currently do within the game as well.Comment

Thinking of doing a kickstarter so maybe we could make an offer that’ll finally get one of these guys to get it done, because so far the $1500 isn’t motivating them enough.Comment

Food for thought:
If you decide to pay big bucks to someone to do this, by the time it's done the PS5 will be just around the corner (next fall). Whole new encryption system will likely be present, and you'll be back to square one after dropping $1000+...with no guarantee that the Show developers won't add another layer of encryption within the save file...not likely, but possible, because I can almost guarantee they don't want to see something like this.
If it were me, I'd wait until March of 2021 when the first Show version on the PS5 is out, and find someone truly committed rather than recruiting someone who has no interest other than money. Safer that way.
My two cents...Last edited by JTommy67; 10-09-2019, 09:02 AM.Comment

But I would also say, this has to start somewhere.
A roster editor is essential for this game. Look at the NBA Ultimate Roster, how amazing that is. You can play every season in NBA history. Nearly the same with Madden thanks to the tools of the PC community has come up with.
Hopefully a roster tool would be created, and it would open the flood gates. That's what I witnessed with Madden, albeit, that was a VERY long time ago. But people have never really stopped working on tools, for nearly 2 decades now.
With the depth of baseball, being one of the most unique aspects of the sport, this is an absolutely essential piece if this game is ever going to get where we all hope it can be.You want free speech?
Let's see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil, advocating at the top of his lungs that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours.Comment

That said, here’s my view on the PS4 one...I’m not buying a 5 til it’s been out about a year anyway (I like to let them work out the kinks before I jump in and deal with the headaches of being one of the betas), so I’m looking at 2 more years of the show on PS4.
Also, the PS4 has all the way back to the show 14 to pull players from, which would be part of what I’m looking for in the editor, so it has a better pool to historically pull from to work on roster sets.
Plus, if the editor does come to fruition and there’s a way to port rosters from the transition year version of the game (like in MLB the show 21 from PS4 to PA5 version), it could be big as well. So I’m kind of working from a few angles on this b
As lame as it sounds my main motivation for getting an editor is to add back some of the guys that have been removed from this years game despite being on minor league rosters (it’s about 5 per team in position players alone, around 7-8 when pitchers added in) thanks to the last 2 seasons of roster work for offline from SDS that can best be described as Piss poor.Comment
