If so what sliders are you going with for user hitting and cpu pitching, cpu control consistency and strike freq. thanks

I’m playing on Legend for hitting and I’m playing with everything at default

    I use zone hitting

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Same, except I bump the wind up a bit for some wider variance in the conditions. Not really much to say about default legend other than "it just works". Sometimes it can be hard to generate offense, but the bigger issue is that I don't strike out on any difficulty lower than legend on Zone hitting. So I'm kind of forced to play on that level if I want any semblance of realistic baseball while using Zone. Without subjecting myself to "slider hell", that is.

Walks, Strikeouts, all types of hits, and just a general balance to things which means i can win or lose any given game depending on my performance and that of my opponent. That's why I enjoy how the game plays so much.

Yeah I do bump injuries because I think there are too few on default

What does increasing the wind slider do? I mean I know it increases its effectiveness but how exactly?

It just adds or subtracts wind speed to the default based on whether you turn the slider up or down, with 5 being the default value and 0 being effectively " wind effect off". Wind is always random in applicable stadiums (i think there's some geographic data factored in, but it's not like I can really prove that), so turning it up isn't always going to result in the same wind speed, even if you max it out. I've seen single-digit MPH with the slider maxed, which means the default value for that game had to be 1-3 MPH. And I've seen it go as high as 26 MPH, also with the slider maxed. I've actually seen even higher speeds than that be possible in the game, but not by something the game itself actually generated.

It's also the most plainly obvious slider effect in the game, as you can pause the game to look at the wind speed, go into the sliders and change the wind slider, back out and immediately notice the number change before you even re-enter the game.

I may try this as I think the wind doesn’t get high enough but don’t want to be adjusting it every game

            Thanks bcruise

I'm using WarmWind's slider set. Directional hitting.

I started on HOF hitting and ended up dropping back to All Star.

oops, a masochist thread. let me slide out too before that door shuts.

I suppose if I wanted to repeat what Detroit did this season, or Baltimore last season, I could go in for some legend hitting. maybe even really tilt those sliders in my favor too lol. mad respect to those who do hit on legend. hit, not bat, double lol

I started off on legend with max pitch speeds when the game first came out and did ok but I had to step away from the game for a while and when I got back into it again and started my franchise I dropped back down to HOF with max pitch speeds.
