MLB The Show Equipment Wishlist

I am assuming there is another update coming. Ohtani’s ASICS batting gear is in the market and wasn’t added either. There is new tater batting gear as well. The nike and jordan cather gear is also a new version in the market. I wonder if it hasn’t been scanned yet or something. Hopefully they add all of this. I just don’t see them not. Especially when the cover athlete has gear available in the market but not in the game.

I’m really hoping they add more equipment soon, this patch didn’t add nearly enough, especially cleats. I’ll never understand why they don’t keep the previous years cleats and just add on. They brag about having all the options you want when it comes to gameplay, but they don’t extend that to equipment. I’m on PS5, why next gen doesn’t have the option to choose equipment for home and away, and before games is beyond me. I generally love the show, I’ll play it for the next year every chance I get, but that doesn’t mean recurring issues, like lack of collisions, and lack of certain equipment options, aren’t starting to bother me.

So WTF did they actually add other than the Mizuno cleats? BS.

If they do add other stuff, then they’re going to add it gradually which means players in my franchise aren’t going to be accurate from the get go.

Cant understand their logic with this... dissapointed about this patch #2, i was hoping theyd unlock all the equipments that are in the game for us.

BTW, they didnt fix the Mets unis neither.

I don’t get the logic here either. What’s the benefit of sporadically releasing equipment that we already had in the game, some of it for years(Mizuno fielding and batting gloves)? Gotta figure it’ll be at least a week after the official release before we get another update. The one year that the rosters are good enough to start my franchise day 1 and they take a dump with the equipment.

I'm probably not gonna wait for equipment to be patched in to start. Just gonna hold out for the first major roster update and see if they have scans for any of the missing players. I usually tweak equipment for guys throughout the year anyways

Wish they’d give us the Nike hurachee mid cleats a lot of players wear instead of just the high tops

I’m probably going to just go ahead with mine as well. I normally spend weeks editing players before I start playing games. I go through every player in the game normally. I’ll just leave generic equipment on the ones who have it as placeholders and go back as stuff is added. I’m out of town for work for the entire week next week. Between that and it being while before I start the games anyway, maybe they’ll add plenty more things by the time I’m ready to go. I just hate feeling like I’m rolling with franchise when the game feels unfinished.

I agree, the should’ve just added all the cleats already, zero excuses !!! Heck I’m more pissed that they neglected Lindor’s new balance cleats, the rest of new balance, both adidas cleats look about the same, why is Nike’s catching equipment not in at all.

They’re focusing too much on DD, & on ohtani, not enough on the small details. If anything they should put a new model to the equipment editor system & let us make our on equipment, maybe use a picture system to replicate the equipment or let us use any of the equipment or generic brands as well & just custom make and combine our own to make it ours, even logos, it’ll be a game changer.
